Actually ALL channels should be premium. Nobody should pay for the crap they don't want to see. For example the only channel I want to subscribe is Weather channel. I cannot do it without sponsoring Spanish channel and Sci-fi and CNN and...
You got the concept of "intellectual property" as natural. I am arguing that it's artificial. Would Leonardo stop working if intellectual property concept not exists? He never heard of it! Creation of art is usually self-rewarding, all other rewards must not be mandatory. >Developers writing code are creating >intellectual property. Do you want them to >stop developing? Nope! I am thinking that they should not expect from profiting from IP on their development. If they have a buyer for their program - that's it. If they create a program that they hope to force people to pay for that program - this is the situation I think is better to be avoided.
If you get your money from selling IP - then I'll be happy if you'll get that you deserved. Welcome to teaching, cattle feeding, heavy-equipment driving, even creation of software drivers for refridgerator door - get your money for doing REAL work. But not for artifical lawyer-inflicted burden named "intellectual property".
Yes I do. I am currently switching from DSL to Dial-up at home, DSL is not worth it if you are not playing games. I was able to work just plain good on 56K and even 28k. I also use Konqueror ability to kick down pop-ups and alias ad.doubleclick.net to 127.0.0.1...
Because: 1) Not everyone like Debian for other reasons; in different systems update is more difficult 2) People customized their installations a lot and afraid that automatic upgrade may create a mess on their machines...
Moreover, they sell *hardware* i.e. they should encourage to provide as much
interoperability as they can get. BUT! Imagine this: A Coward took their code, makes insuitable changes (for example add code that add random distortion to scanned/printed images) and put his binaries and code without providing his name to famous download places. Unsuspecting People will get a lot of spoiled binaries instead, install it and blame printer supplier for bad quality. How to avoid it?
is SLLLOWWWW.... Mozilla is a BrakeZilla.... BTW, is there any good information/tutorials/examples of Mozilla programming? How can I add a button to tool bar of Mozilla and bind it to something I need to do (such as saving current page to file in system or run my external program)?
Hey, they even can call that distro as SCO Linux! It might be a viable move, IMHO. They can integrate the stuff from SCO to it, because they have rights to SCO. SCO was a reputable trademark years ago...
The only thing that we know about them - is that they send us 1-photon thick ray. It's entirely possible that we are enclosed in some sphere made as a large planetarium and the stars are just small sphere holes... The diameter of sphere can be 1 light year or even less...
What about radiation - if you are somewhere in Ural, may be. Actually Russia has one of largest reservoirs of clear fresh water - in Baikal. But in most large cities water is contaminated by old pipes.
The evil virii come and start spreading. :)
Let's name computer viruses - virii

here what did they find?

Pontiac? You got what you paid for...
At least you should get large model of Buick or any
Cadillac to get good GM quality

Put traffic shaper on them - let them use equivalent of 28800 modem. Just enough for browsing the web and work but lousy for file sharing...

A pity that vservers patch does not incorporated into kernel...
Can we name Security A - Shielding?
1. I agree. But a lot of slightly stupid users don't. They can download that drivers for example from sunsite.unc.edu or other places like that.
2. Oopsie?! I mean GPL! You cannot relicense GPL-containing code for Info-ZIP (and any other) license!
So your (2.) is unapplicable in this case.
3. Mangling a binary-only driver is a much harder job than to mangle source.

I'll use aolserver (aolserver.sf.net).
It's a stable and tested technology.
For my project I stuck with apache 1.3.x
I use custom kernels when I need to incorporate non-mainstream patches , such as http://www.solucorp.qc.ca (vserver) and rsbac(www.rsbac.de).

I always wondered: can Apollo sites, Lunokhod, etc
be seen in optical telescopes?
Can this system develop programs for me? Or at least
assist me in small tasks?
If you read the implementation, you should be sure that
it's possible.
Dark brown? It's just iron from old pipes.

Why? V-chip is already there... pity that all advertisements doesn't come with XXX label on them... would be easy to filter!
