We have a Roomba. It worked at first. Now it just shuts itself off a lot for no apparent reason. Also, as we originally received it, the container to hold the dirt wasn't held in properly so it would fall out, promptly dumping everything back on the floor. That problem is solved, but we still have the shut off problem. And it doesn't seem to be doing a very good job of actually cleaning (our floors are wood laminate, not carpet). The wheels seem to get out of alignment pretty easily. Right now we're trying to get our unit exchanged for one that actually works. Good to hear that people are having success with their Roombas, so the product really does work.
Yes they did say that communications were audio-only during the war. But the episode also makes pretty clear that Humans didn't know that Romulans were a Vulcan offshoot, in fact Spock seemed to be only surmising this as a possibility, and didn't seem like the Vulcans knew about this either.
The Romulan Wars should start right about as Enterprise goes into it's last season, assuming the show runs seven years. Why wouldn't Humans and Romulans have encountered each other before that... think of the Dominion in DS9; that war didn't start right away. As long as they don't show the Enterprise crew seeing any Romulans, we're ok, since in Kirk's time nobody knows that Romulans look like Vulcans.
"It is practically impossible to teach good programming style to students that have had prior exposure to BASIC; as potential programmers they are mentally mutilated beyond hope of regeneration."
Well I spent years wallowing in the muck of BASIC on the Apple//c, but I guess I learned Pascal (on Tandy 1000s) early enough that I was then able to grasp OOP and can now turn out some pretty decent code. Now I just need someone to hire me...
Was also shown at Consolidated Theaters in Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii. So it's not just at UA cinemas.
Unfortunately, they didn't show the LOTR or Nemesis trailers.:(
For the record, I once paid my Time Warner Cable/RoadRunner bill over the phone by charging to my credit card (to avoid late payment fee since I realized at the last minute that I didn't get that month's bill), and they didn't charge me an extra fee.
You'll be required to send 9% of your networking cable to Talahassee.

And yes, it is irritatingly loud.

How could DS9 be a ripoff of B5, since DS9 came first?

The initial board will ship with a 600MHz G3. G4s could come later as availability improves and prices drop.
According to the article, the residence halls have a separate 40Mbit connection. This probably rules out most of the P2P servers.
