    This isn't brandishing so much as self defense. It happens a fair bit and, more often than not, defuses the situation, since would be road ragers and bandits realize that bullets hurt.

    with today's streamlined cars, you're better off driving with the window open - contrary to expectations, you don't increase the air resistance that much any more, especially when rolling under the speed limit.

    No, you waste far more power with the windows open - 10% of 100hp is far more power than AC would ever need, so your numbers are way off. Doesn't matter with you, though - you drive 45 everywhere.

    They are, actually. Ranchers often graze on public land that they have grazing rights to. They don't own that land, although they might confuse the issue.

    If you were a sex offender, would you notify your neighbors? I wouldn't - in a group of 100 people, at least one would think I was a serial pedophile after his kids and come for me at night. Also, in some places, there isn't any legal place for a SO to live - last I checked, it was illegal to ban someone from a city.

    Fake checks? Put the burden on the banks and they'll come up with a system that does positive confirmation within a day or two; right now, checks can fail months after they've settled.

    I do have a Master's degree in computer science (although in an obscure field that's not particularly applicable to many companies, i.e. combinatorics and optimization)

    I dunno, that stuff is highly useful to places like Amazon and possibly some travel sites.
