Actually, this word "crash" seems to be a red herring: all you need is . It crashes if there isn't a TYPE=something. Pretty awful, yes, but is it a security risk? I don't see how.
Am I the only one who has noticed that this is obviously some debugging? They would have used such an instruction to test the crash recovery stuff, make sure data isn't corrupted during crashes, etc. etc. etc.
It doesn't qualify as 'exploit' or 'bug'. It's not a security risk. It's not even a problem. IE crashes all the time anyway, you just re-start it (or you can even have it restart automatically) and you're back where you were (before clicking the link, presumably).
Although this gives me an idea... what if you managed to set someone's default URL to this? Might take them a while to find out what's going on.
That page doesn't mention microwaves at all. What's more, according to the legend, when Tesla demonstrated his machine there were blue flashes everywhere, and anything metallic in the area picked it up. Sounds a bit different to me.
Have you got any links to evidence for this? There's been much debate here about siting cellphone towers next to schools - the telecom company saying that they are harmless and the parents saying they might be dangerous.
If you have one of those the-file-system-is-a-database things, then you could use Firebird(mozilla) to view Firebird(DB). People are likely to be confused into thinking that if there is a product and a viewer with the same name then they are from the same developers
You seem to be knowledgable. On their introduction page, they say that Firebird(DB) has been around since 1981 but then in the next paragraph say that it's based on IB which was released as opensource in 2000. Both can't be true..?
Howcome AOL is involved in this? I thought they owned Netscape, but Mozilla was a separate open-source project. Are you saying that all the Mozilla faithful are actually just as bad as Microsoft faithful?
The cell phone is projected into the Matrix world by the Nebuchadnezzar's computer, 114 peter b. lloyd along with the avatar's body and clothes--and the weapons that Neo and Trinity eventually bring in with them. The software that simulates the cell phones is running inside the Nebuchadnezzar's computer, not the Matrix's computer
What's with the "114 peter b. lloyd" ? Or was that the Maxtrix subconsciously telling everyone about this guy who's figured it out?
Yes, but humans can convert energy well. Look at your lolly packaging or whatever.. food contains 10x as much energy as petrol and it is cheaper and easier to make. I'm sure the aliens can make this glucose crap that the humans live in fairly easily, but they need the humans to make it into electrical power
You mean, nothing significant enough that your naive little mind can think of. However, scientists, engineers, governments, etc. have plenty of topics that do require sub-second precision (not to mention sub-microsecond precision, as is currently offered by GPS). I suggest you personally ignore this article, but don't attempt to judge what everone else is going to think of it.
You didn't even get your comment about days right. According to this paper, a study of eclipse records kept by Ptolemy from 136BC shows a 3 hour time difference (and if we regressed current astronomical motions without corrections like this it wouldn't even have been a total eclipse). Studies of coral fossils show that a year lasted for about 400 days, in prehistoric times. Oh, wait - you probably believe the Earth was created 6000 years ago..
Humor section? It's in the 'foot section'. I dont see the word 'humor' anywhere (*). Clicking the foot lists some stories about BSD, Science, and some main stories.
Ah yes now I understand - Taco must be a Windows-using creationist;)

If only AOL had blocked 2 billion outgoing spams
One step closer to having a dedicated goatse section :)
Wouldn't it be great to have all the trolls in one place rather than scattered throughout the other sections?
Well, lightning has wires (made of plasma), although they don't hang around before or after the event.

For the non-US world... what are these zoning restrictions exactly?
Townshend will be kicking himself that he didn't think of this one

Well, now that the Mozilla name is free, Firebird(DB) could rename themself Mozilla (a perfectly good name). Everyone will be happy.

I'm not installing IE... this is a genuine GM browser!
What's the difference between this IPL/MPL and GPL?

Here's my mirror. BTW by the time you probably read this I will probably have taken it down and replaced it with a link to something stupid
Neo: zZzZzZzZzZzZ?
Trinity: zZzZzZzZzZ!
Neo: zZzZ ZzZz???
Trinity: Profit!

Well maybe. I was thinking of myself at age 6 :) (My parents always got me tuns of science-themed books to read)
Wasn't the razor invented by a French woman?

More trivial would be: "How should I do my hair?"
Yeah - a spelling troll bitching about the spelling in a 4 week old slashdot dupe from the WWN, and getting his own spelling wrong

(*) Not that 'humor' is a real word anyway
