    PS3 version was full of bugs. Get stuck in rubble. VATS sometimes freezes. Sometimes I'd get stuck with people shooting at me, but I was unable to do anything. PS3 locks up completely. They issued a patch that seems to have fixed some of the problems, but at that point I was 99% done.

    It makes no sense whatsoever. Amtrak would be profitable (and successful) if they only operated in the northeast/new york/boston/dc area. but there are 535 conductors setting amtrak's routes and they're also going to be involved in this mythical high speed rail system. If it was a good idea, the government wouldn't need to be involved.

    You raise an interesting issue. Let's say you download some music, software, movies, etc from teh pirate bay. Today, that's not a crime (uploading -- distribution -- is). But tomorrow, you may be charged with tax evasion or conspiracy to commit tax evasion.

    at this point, they may be making a slight profit on the 360, but they originally sold it at a loss. So you could estimate it costs them the retail price (which varies due 10 or so different configurations).

    they may use licensed code which they can't release. Or they may be using unlicensed code and don't want to be caught. Or the code quality may be shit. Or maybe it sends back interesting things. Yep, lots of reasons not to release the source code.

    First, buy a gun. either a 12 gauge shotgun (and buckshot) or a big pistol (.357, .44, .45, etc -- not a 9mm). Load the gun, insert the barrel into your moth and pull the trigger. Make sure you aim it upwards, towards your brain. If it's off to the side you might survive or only be mildly brain damaged (in which case COBOL programming would be an ideal career choice).

    AT&T didn't try to keep control of C. Through the years, there have probably been hundreds (maybe thousands) of implementations and there are published standards (K&R, ANSI/ISO C89,ISO/IEC C99).

    Meanwhile, Sun has kept a tight fist on Java.

    last I checked, 10 * $50 is $500 and $500 is > $250 (or $200, depending on how you account for it).
