  1. Re:Not so similar on Police Using Apple iOS Tracking Data For Forensics · · Score: 1

Then why can I type in the BSSID (MAC address) of my WiFi router into http://samy.pl/androidmap/ and via google it will tell me exactly where it is?

Out of curiosity I just tried what you just said. It showed me the location I was in over 3 months ago in a totally different city to the one I live in. I have since a) connected to over 5 different wifi points. b) been back to that city twice (however it showed me at the hotel I was at 3 months ago) I'm not overly concerned about that form of tracking.

What these guys did was solve a problem that many companies were trying to solve throughout the world for some time with regards to wireless data transmission.
They found the solution told everyone about it and then had their technology replicated everywhere.

Watch the video link in my post just after this if you want to hear the facts about why they wanted compensation for solving an issue noone else could.

I was watching a documentary lastnight all about the current censorship laws trying to be passed in the US at the moment.

The fashion label 'FCUK' French Connection United Kingdom has great sales globally but can't penetrate the US market because their products were all pulled from US stores because the christian right were complaining that the label was an offensive word. Its not even spelt that way. How far will this go people?

A great quote from the show was from an ex shock jock in florida who was pulled off the the air due to concerns by his radio station of getting fined by the FCC.

I can't say fuck on the radio but I can own a gun that can kill over 100 people.
While holding his military machine gun (Think it was an M16)

This docco also discussed a law which was attempting to be passed in one of your southern states for people who reveal their underwear above their jeans to be put in jail for up to 150 days.

You guys live in a very morally bizzare country.

I absolutely aggree with you on this one.

This book has one of the best explanations of the theory of relativity I have EVER heard. I have read countless other books but none had explained it in the manner he does. The moment I read the explanation I had a feeling which I'm sure some would compare to a religious expreience. I had understood the theory of relativity but this made me understand exactly why this all these effects happen. I was going to skip over the section as I had read it in countless oher book. I am so happy I didn't.

I am still making my way thru this book as I only started it about 1 week ago, I had it on my shelf for over 1 year.

I highly reccomend this book as it is one of the latest books on the topic of string theory and there have been quite a few changes in recent years which this book covers.

    Another good book is Hyperspace.

I saw something recently where they deployed a long metal wire from the space shuttle. Seeing as the wire is moving over the earths magnetic field it generated alot of electricity.
This also causes ??electromagnetic drag?? which which would lower the objects orbit.
If every satelite was equipped with one of these deployable wires. When it reached the end of it's life deploy the wire. The satelite will lose altitude and then burn up in the atmosphere.
