Well it appears the answer to all our trival little overheating and sound problems is underclocking the CPU. Considering we hear it on Slashdot about 10 times a week.
Perhaps using the internal combustion engine, designed when christ was a kid, is the problem the stupid ass engineers can't conserve more energy. It's not an engineering problem, it's a "where's the damn market for such a thing?" problem.
