E.g. being infected by some cruel disease, and then “treated” with a just as cruel experimental substance, to then have electrodes in your open brain, or similar sick shit. If that ever happens to me, I hope I’m not gotta get “saved” by some egocentric* dogmatic** tree-hugging “p.c.” asshole, to become a drooling cripple instead of being freed from it. Because as soon as I can move, I’m gonna bash his head in, for not killing me.
___ * Egocentric, because those types don’t do it to help you. They do it, to compensate their self-hatred of being such an “evil human“ and guilt, that is a result of a fucked up childhood where they were treated just as cruely. ** Dogmatic, because they don’t care what the actual intent of their principle was, and just insist on it, even when the result is the opposite on the original intent.
Hargis has denied being influenced by Pickens and cited 'confidential factors' that he couldn't discuss
How is that even legal? He’s working for public research. The only reason he gets to decide things, is because the public allows him to do so, and pays everything around him, including himself.
Or am I wrong about this?
And the only reason they let him decide, is because he tells them the reasons and therefore is supposed to e trustworthy.
So Mr. Pickens, you better explain yourself, if you don’t want to get your ass kicked so hard, that you think you’re staked! ^^
Unless I’m seriously wrong about his obligations (and in that case, ignore this comment altogether), that’s just... I have no words anymore...
Seeing how the whole point of the Bible is to support one’s own agenda, to control people, I’d say this is using the Bible exactly for what it was invented. ^^
In the Koran on the other hand, there is just one version (at least they say so), but that one is so easily interpretable, and so wildly interpreted, that it’s no better at all.
Then again, that whole “religious” world is just sick beyond belief to me, and I’m only able to explain it with it being a Schizophrenia + companies that exploit the affected ones.
Boy, you haven’t eaten my salad yet. It’s got a huge steak, potatoes and stuff right next to it.:D
But I agree with you on the “no compromises” policy. There is no reason, why pizza can’t be healthy without making compromises. Take finely milled whole wheat flour (looks and tastes like normal flour, but is very healthy, because of the B-vitamins), add normal tomato sauce, (nothing wrong with that), some toppings and cheese. Then eat a small salad as appetizer to balance the cheese, and maybe some fresh fruit later. And you got yourself a healthy, and delicious meal.
Everything can be healthy and delicious. Just follow these rules:
Don’t make compromises in taste.
Everything should be as fresh as humanly possible (the secret of every great chef).
The carbohydrates should be as long as possible.
The proteins should not be destructed by e.g. heat.
The vitamins should not be destructed by e.g. heat.
The fats should be as liquid as possible. (= as unsaturated as possible)
The heat should generally be as low as possible (slow cooking, the other secret of modern great chefs).
Don’t make compromises in taste.
Variation, variation, variation.
Learn how to cook like a chef. (Or have a wife who can.:)
Oh, and fresh stuff is usually cheaper, because processing costs money. (You don’t have to buy that horribly expensive “organic” stuff. It’s often just as unhealty.;)
All your points are, in practice, completely invalid bullshit.* As proven by the original DNS records, as shown in comment #30509804 above.
Seems the registrars are grating domain names, like the US patent system in granting patents.;) ___ * I know that you’re not at fault here. So this is not going against you at all.
Why is everybody dancing around the giant elephant in the room, instead of pointing to it?
That elephant is the definition of the line that separates what is ok from what is not. (Well, it’s a bit different for everybody, but you get my point.)
In law the separation is simple: It’s is only illegal, if it’s not a fact and hurts somebody. Facts are facts. Now it might be in “political correct” “dispute” whether he’s a fascist. But in reality, he is. So it’s not slander. (Which of course a judge would never decide that way, for the same reason that so many people did not oppose Hitler at all, or Milgram’s experiment went the way it went. The reality distortion bubbles that “authority figures” create, can draw in even judges.)
Now it certainly hurts him. But that’s the point. Criminals should be punished. And if the criminal is the government itself... you get the drift. Now I’m not saying we should just lynch everybody. Just like I’m not saying we should spread lies.
I’m saying that we are the people, and if the government fails, we take over and fix it. Because we own it, and need it.
Showing that which hurts us, and is hidden by those who hurt us, is step one. Standing up, and changing it, is step two. Which never happens without step one drawing in a critical mass of the population (Including those that live a completely passive lifestyle / walking daze. Which unfortunately is most of if nowadays.).
That’s why we humans always just complain, and don’t change it: We wait and try to create that critical mass. (Ok, some don’t, like me. But it’s not a comfortable life, when you actually stand up, and are alone. So I can’t do it often, or I don’t have anything else and it wrecks my life. I think most of us are a bit like that inside. Some more, some less. Mostly less, I guess.:/)
BUT, as I previously said, Statcounter does not count anyone with an ad blocker, in browser, in the firewall, etc. Because they are blocked for tracking users across sites with their web beacon.
So not only are the numbers strongly biased in one direction. No TFS biases them back in the other direction.
That is, all in all, a truly epic fail. And I’m not even a statistics guy. I bet those would first die from the horrors, and then spin in their graves fast enough to power a small city.;)
They are blocked in all ad blockers and some firewall software (those with built-in malware filters). This is because of their web beacons that they integrate into sites, and that invade your privacy by tracking you across sites.
I had to turn off my ad blocker, to be able to open their site.
So you can guess in what direction the statistics are biased.
If Mammon awakes, it (MS) will try to catch up, if it means anything to it. And this will be the actual ugly fight, where one of them never comes out again.
Fuck pizza! There is little worse than pizza if you need to work hard. It makes you tired and sweaty, you suddenly wonder why you have to read things twice, slowly, before you understand them, and your cardiovascular system is basically “sparks and explosions”.
The best thing to make your brain work? Sleep, air, sleep, water, healthy food and sleep! Taking pride in lack of sleep is like taking pride in hitting yourself with a hammer. Taking pride in living on coffee, mountain dew and pizza, is like taking pride in drinking a shot glass of poison once a day. It is not cool, it is not “manly”, it is not hackerish, is is not geeky. It”s Joe-Lower-Class-level retard-“coolness”.
Real hackers know that the body is the most impressive machine known to man. And that the only thing cooler than having a well set-up, impressive, high-performance computer do what you want, is having a well set-up, impressive, high-performance body/brain do what you want.
Healthy food is part of a healthy, collaborative effort.
P.S.: And I don’t mean hippie food that tastes like crap, either.:) I mean a large perfectly slow-oven-cooked steak, some good salad, tasty potatoes with some spring onions and parsley. That’s healthy *and* incredibly tasty.:)
His mismanagement is the reason they “have” to work late is the first place!
A good manager is always the last one to go and the first one to come. Not the other way around. I have seen enough people who owned their own company, and because it was their life, there was no point in leaving. (Ok, they should not forget their family. I have also seen where that ends. And it’s very ugly.)
So usually, if a manager is quick to go home, or stays away very often, you know that he does not really care or like it. That means, it’s time to find a new job, that will not fall into pieces as soon as that manager leaves, an the others find out that it was all smoke and mirrors.
The problem is that they aren’t. People buy vastly overpowered computers, just as they buy SUVs instead of normal, good looking, money saving, parking spot fitting and fast cars.;)
It’s because they think that’s what’s missing from not feeling like they are worthless crap. (Which of course has other mental reasons.) It’s to brag, so others might ‘like’ them. (Which of course is doomed to fail.) They don’t buy it to do those power-user things. They buy it because they buy a dream. (Wasn’t that also a quote from Hoover?)
So while you are certainly right that thin clients should not be a niche item, but overpowered machines should be, in reality, both ends of the bell curve are niches. It’s just that the curve is a bit shifted towards the higher end. So thin clients are even more of a niche.
From my personal experience: Data-heavy applications run at a complete crawl in PHP. 10 times slower, is, in my opinion, a vast understatement.
Then again, that’s not the point of PHP. The point is, that in PHP, provided you already know how to program, also get things done more than 10 times faster, than in C++. Because there is a simple function with defaults and automatisms for literally everything.
Only if those defaults and automatisms are other than what you expect, you will get into big trouble. And because the PHP interpreter is truly a horrible piece of shit (I was able to run totally illegal constructs, with plain text right in the middle of the code, and it ran, doing nothing of what I expected it to do.), that happens quite a lot. It’s one reason that drove me to the extreme strictness of Haskell, where you have to get it right upfront, so it doesn’t bite you in the ass later.
Yeah, because those piece of shit cars, that can’t get further than five miles without needing half a year of reload time, and weigh a megaton because of the batteries, are useful in heavy snow and with nearly no sunlight.... you know... what Saab cars were made for, according to TFA!;)
Fuck the moon! Fuck mars*! THIS is the stuff! Yeah!
To me that would be the coolest mission, since the moon landing. The only other thing I can think of, that comes close, are the satellites that are already leaving the solar system.
(* To those with emotional deficiencies *nudge* *nudge*: Of course I don’t mean that we should completely ignore mars, or even the moon. It’s just that it’s silly to focus on a moon landing, when on the other hand, you got stuff like this! The stuff that is every scientist’s and every layman’s wet dream of exploration. The feeling of being on a place, that others can’t even imagine!! And the science that would come out of it, would just be crazy!)
Protip: There are worse things than dead.
E.g. being infected by some cruel disease, and then “treated” with a just as cruel experimental substance, to then have electrodes in your open brain, or similar sick shit. If that ever happens to me, I hope I’m not gotta get “saved” by some egocentric* dogmatic** tree-hugging “p.c.” asshole, to become a drooling cripple instead of being freed from it. Lol. I meant Mr. Hargis. Must have been a Freudian slip, with me being nauseous from thinking about it...
Then again, when I think about “in bed” and “haggis” at the same time... <Colbert-style>*gags*</Colbert-style>
Lol. I meant Mr Haggis. Must have been a Freudian slip, with them being “in bed” with each other...

Microsoft legal representative Kevin Kutz states that he believes the case will be dismissed and that Microsoft 'always respect[s] trademarks [...]
The case being dismissed would be not respecting the trademark.
With being able to say such a soulless twisted lie right in our faces, without even twitching, I’m sure he’ll soon have a job in the government. :/
You go first. We follow. ;)
If you look at the browsers, independent of the version:

Hey moderators: Lost your sense of humor again?
Happens quite often lately.
Or is the new average age for moderators somewhere around 14?

So your argument is, that because Verizon did it, that’s what will happen?
Yeah. Right.
Let’s formalize that:
$evilCompany did $evilAction.
Therefore $everybody will do $evilAction.
So essentially you miss a central link here. And the only link that I can see, that would fit, is:
$everybody is like $evilCompany.
Sorry, but I don’t follow that. Even if $everybody in this context is narrowed down as much as possible.
