I know. That was just showing off. Because the actual beauty is invisible... unfortunately.

Ok, you can see that you do *not* see things. Like window buttons for example.
Because the real thing that I love about Compiz, is to be able to configure it in a way, that I can use the windows-key as the universal windowing manager key, and then combine it with the three mouse buttons for moving, scaling, and closing. I do not have to hit the tiny button on the top border. I click anywhere on the window.

But that's just the beginning. It's like mouse gestures, but more efficient. Especially with a 5-button-mouse (two on the thumb).

And then I can run the main apps (next to the K symbol) by just pressing Win-F1 to -F8. Etc, etc.
Also what is really good, is to enforce position, size, desktop, closability/resizability, etc, on windows. That way they always start at the exact same place, in a nice arrangement.

It's an actual growth in efficiency.

But of course to make white flowers come out of the grass and rise, while chillout music plays in the background, makes every girl that sees it want to have it too (and have me, in the background? ^^).

I usually theme the whole system colors (windowing, widgets, etc) to the background. Which itself is meant to be an "outside view" fitting the weather.
And it's impressive how well it works on the feeling of summery happiness.

Just a quick note: There is no such thing as "European residents" that's like saying "Asian residents".

When you do so in Europe, you will get the following reactions:

The British fill complain about being in one pot with the nasty French.
The Italians will just complain, moving their hands wildly.
And the Germans will hide, and fear being called Nazis for complaining.

Think about throwing the USA in one pot with the Canadians, Mexicans, Cubans and Jamaicans, and you start to get the picture... :)

Hmm... what is thin "European" style you are speaking of. I don't know how it's in other European *countries*, but here in Germany, you got two options:
Either you buy it without any contract or anything (like simlock and branding), and pay the full 500€, or you buy a plan for two years, and depending of the size of that, you will pay between 150€ ($213) and 1€ initially. With branding at the network providers themselves, without branding at independent (and usually cheaper) resellers, and simlock would be a rare surprise to see (perhaps on "prepaid with phone 'plans'")

But if you wait some months, you usually get it for 50€ ($71) or less.

This is also true for talking way too much. (Especially on the net, where you can read normal text in the voice that you expect, and long text usually makes that voice become unfriendly as well.)
