    They are just Trident or Gecko, wrapped in a minimal different UI.

    Which in case of Trident (IE’s “engine’) is very very bad.
    Avant, Slimbowser, GreenBrowser, Maxthon do. They are basically just IE with a different look. K-Meleon and Flock use Gecko. (But Flock has a pretty different purpose, and therefore might be considered legitimate.)
    Sleipnir does them both.

    You can even use Firefox with the Trident engine, by installing the IEtab add-on.

    So there will be no shortage of IEs an sheep’s clothing anytime soon.

    Don’t forget the megabyte-sized cache. The most important optimization nowadays, is to make your program parts fit into cache as a whole, since RAM access is extremely slow in comparison. So all you gotta do, is do the same with your malware, but keep it in there when deleted from RAM.

    China has been doing a lot of this bartering lately - avoiding paying cash for things in exchange for construction, trade contracts, or goods.

    I wonder if China in some way tries to avoid money and its consequences, in order to gain independence from unstable currencies...
    Wouldn’t be a dumb move...

    The only time I notice it is if I need to go back/forward several pages, then the slow refresh is frustrating since you have to wait for a page to display before you can move to the next one.

    Definitely a programmers’ error. It should simply stop rendering the current page and start with the new one, as soon as you press the button. Which would make it as fast as you could possibly press the button.

    Germany doesn't know yet what Scientology is, a business, a religion or a cult.

    Same thing!! A cult is a business that makes money and gains power from people with a small schizophrenic delusion that partially detaches their inner model from reality. And a church is just a cult that’s officially accepted by the powers that be (e.g. Government). Which happens, as soon as they catch themselves enough politicians.

    Organizations like these are by definition immoral, since they exploit people who need help. And control their lives with nasty social engineering. There is no good about it...

    They will be free to do something better! Earn money for something that is more challenging. Learn in the process. And make the world better for themselves.

    Did you know that in India, there is a caste, that is predetermined to clear other people’s latrine pits. And you are arguing as if it would be bad, to replace them by a proper sewer system. As if they couldn’t and would not want to do something better.

    Biden, and half the staff are ex-MAFIAA people.

    Wasn’t there this staff position, where the first guy hired, went to jail shorty after it. And the replacement also went to jail on day one. Then the third one, I think, stuck. And they all had massive ties to the MAFIAA.
    Don’t remember which position it was though, or I could look up the exact facts.

    But who cares. ACTA is already dead here in Europe. The Pirate Party is gaining strongly, and this will only strengthen it.
    And unless massive censorship kicks in, the Internet will route around it.

    Look at Brazil. They already ignore the whole patenting/copyright madness of the USA as part of an embargo.
    Sorry US government (not talking about the population here!), but your times of having the world in a tight grip are over.
    Bush/Cheney broke the ban. Now avalanche is rolling, and it’s going down.

    (I just hope the US population doesn’t get punished for the faults of their government. :/)
