Custom software does not always cost more than canned software. With custom software you get the exact functionality you need, tailored to exactly what is needed. With canned software you often get a lot of the features you need out of the box and then integration problems and features you must have, but the canned software does not do. Depending on how badly the canned software API is done or other problems implementing these features it may end of being more work to add these few features and maintain them. And then you have licensing to constantly deal with and other crap to deal with.
the scale of the US military is just insane, especially in light of the huge social problems like health care the US has right now. Some examples are the US has 11 aircraft carriers and is building at least 2 more that I know of. China has one and it is not even built yet. The F-35 is a fighter with no purpose and no one wants it, but Congress will not let the spending get killed so we are building them anyway instead of helping US Citizens.
your comment makes no sense. If terrorists wanted to strike somewhere else they would have, the tsa has not been a deterrent. You could say that there are elephants hiding in the airport, but they are so good at it not one has ever found one. Makes about as much sense as your logic.
things will get better when Mexicans stop looking the other way when bad things happen in their community. That is the only way things will get any better, criminals will just do something else if they cannot sell drugs.
you mean that rich people don't want to pay for the government services they disproportionately benefit from. Certainly no rich people internet taxes are being pushed, just ones that hurt the middle class and poor.
at what point when you are rich does savings and investment become detrimental to the country? I think we have already found that point and above a threshold like $1million per year the taxes should at least %40 on capital gains to reflect that.
notice they never want to enact a tax that would force the rich to pay closer to their fair share of taxes? They subsidies big business, what is wrong with continuing to stimulate the economy with a subsidie for middle class and poor people.
if any program needed to be starved of funding and die it is the TSA. It has nothing to do with making people safer and everything about making a couple rich people richer.
if it is not a big money grab by Big Pharma that are grossly overcharging for the vaccine. Take the money component out then you can call people kooks.
I wonder why anyone would even consider this as an option for their business. You completely loose control of a large piece of your critical infrastructure environment and you can never really be sure that microsoft is not going to abuse the data they are maintaining. If anything Amazon EC2 outage has shown is that the cloud is not for anything critical if you depend on uptime for your business model.
the internet levels this playing field and there is really no barrier other than artificially created by business. So businesses want to move their operations overseas for cheaper labor, but don't want lower prices brought back. True free trade would allow for the differences in prices to normalize.
notice that the US government has no problem giving huge subsidies to big oil, big ag, big pharma, but when the regular person might benefit from a subsidy they drool over how to screw them.
the real problem is that these taxes are paid for by regular people and not buy huge corporations so California sees it as an easy way to make revenue by screwing regular people.
doubt that would happen. Top Gear was sued by tesla for pointing out what is common sense (among other inconsistent claims). Having to wait hours to charge a car defeats the whole purpose of having a car, freedom to go where you want when you want.

also needless war and neglecting US Citizens? Oh yea, people gloss over those things.
the bias in the media favoring the rich is pathetic. It eclipsed any brief sanity in the payroll tax holiday.
should be the next tag the white house pushes. The US cannot afford spending $650 billion on a military we don't need.
that is what he means right? There is never a case for civil disobedience like written by Thomas Paine in Common Sense?

mine is easier, only one step. Don't use facebook.
you really mean the publishers. They often screw the authors who get nothing.

OWS has nothing to do with wanting a communist state and that is what you are describing.

seems like you just get a lot more for your money with Android.

or is this more shilling by the government for Big Pharma for a very expensive vaccine with limited benefit?

why not make this internet tax holiday that actually benefits regular people permanent?

but Minecraft is soooo much better. Good thing the names are really really different so you know not to buy that skyrim piece of crap.
