    FTL is pretty fun, but from what I have seen from the development blogs I am really anticipating Wasteland 2 and Project Eternity.

    to each his own. I hated most of the titles you highlighted you like as bland derivatives and am really looking forward to many of the Kickstarter games and like the constant stream of info on development. I also like that with Kickstarter you can influence what types of games get made and support freeing Game Designers from companies only interested in the lowest common denominator for a marginal return instead of focusing on making a great game.

    foreign companies are starting to choose companies outside the US to prevent nsa spying. Google has a financial interest to stop the nsa from losing them business.

    I just report a problem and send them back. I would only say 5% of disks have a problem and Netflix will immediately send a replacement so that has been good enough for me.

    sounds like in winning gamefly may have put the nail in their profit margin. Instead of adopting the Netflix mailer and accepting breakage as part of doing business everyone will now have to pay much much higher mailing. Ironically, this also will mean that dvd mailing services will probably start to die which hurts the USPS too.

    as a Programmer I view complaining as a good thing, because people don't complain about what they don't care about. That said, not striking a balance recognizing changes users hate / hoping they don't leave, ends up in things like digg.com

    I totally hate the gmail change. It makes no sense to make composing an email in a totally different interface than the one for replying to an email. And the compose window is awkward to enter text into. I have no idea what they were trying to accomplish, but I would dump it in an instant if I could find the checkbox (and I have looked ... repeatedly).

    If you have moral policy then you don't need to fear whistleblowers. Snowden and people like him should be hired in an instant and this nsa official who think they can do what ever they want should be excised like an infection.

    I'd still take problems I can act on than being an unimportant Customer to someone like Amazon. When ec2 failed for Reddit they were down for a very long time with no way to recover and told they were queued to be helped.
