Every problem that exists, anywhere in the world, someone will be along quite early in here to proclaim the US did/does it worse. The OP having to reach back 200+ years to how things were handled during the American Revolution for a comparison simply shows this stupidity in its full glory.
There could be an article here about the nutritional comparisons of boiling grass or tree bark for soup among North Koreans, and some asshat will proudly proclaim conditions in the US are worse.
Build it into the flexible backpack, instead of a hard flat panel. Oh wait, now I have to have that particular backpack all the time, instead of something attached to he bike. I get it...more lights are not a bad thing. But I'm not going to ride around being a billboard. I just want people to see me and not hit me.
I have a couple of fake cameras, interspersed with real ones. Except for the blinken light, the housing is indistinguishable from the 4 real ones, until you get real close. And turning off that light merely involves taking out the battery.
The next time someone calls with the exact same wording, and they don't respond appropriately.....you'll be calling for their heads to roll. Yes, I get that the police have too any toys they need to use. But wtf are they supposed to do? Send Officer Snuffy with a single bullet in his pocket every time?

Can I transfer the software to another computer or user? You may transfer the software to another computer that belongs to you. You may also transfer the software (together with the license) to a computer owned by someone else if a) you are the first licensed user of the software and b) the new user agrees to the terms of this agreement. To make that transfer, you must transfer the original media, the certificate of authenticity, the product key and the proof of purchase directly to that other person, without retaining any copies of the software. You may use the backup copy we allow you to make or the media that the software came on to transfer the software. Anytime you transfer the software to a new computer, you must remove the software from the prior computer.
For Windows 8, if you buy it and you install it, you can reinstall and reactivate as many times as you want. Change the motherboard, put it on a whole different PC, whatever. Only one PC at a time. And you don't have to 'revoke' anything. Just remove it from the old drive.
If it is preinstalled, then it is tied to that original hardware.
Said 'permission' is on page 82 of a 346 page EULA, which if you do not agree you cannot use the attached software for the cameras.
I didn't say we did it worse, the GP did.

Face it: the Egyptians are handling this a lot better than we did.
And there it is.
No matter what issue, wherever on the planet, or how fucked up it is.....the US did it worse. And s still doing it worse.
I have exactly zero logo bike shirts.
Oh wait...I have one. It promotes my local bike shop, owned by a friend of mine. Who gives me discounts.

I'd be satisfied with a preference for whatever actually works for the given requirement, for the least amount of money. FOSS, proprietary, whatever.
It felt like being raped by Fisher Price.
Comparisons to Fisher Price was one of the main initial complaints about XP.

So what's the next shakedown target in this game of "citizens vs government"?
Mileage and location based taxes.

"How to not fuck up"
It hasn't been written yet, but it needs to be written.
There are many that say 'how to do x'. But few/none that say 'How to not fuck up'.
There is no 'but'.
The next time someone calls with the exact same wording, and they don't respond appropriately.....you'll be calling for their heads to roll.

"...mass shootings are carried out by law abiding citizens"
You want to rethink that statement a little?
And they will pay you by not raising the price by another dollar.
"People that don't make a lot of money slack off a lot."
'Rich' = "anyone making more money than me".
"'In detail we aim to create an urban dual-mode, hybrid flight and electric drive motorized vehicle that fits into sustainable mobility."
Yeah, good luck with that.
There are forces at work to try to pair back public education using nefarious means
Interesting. Tell us more.
Well, of COURSE! In any report about any country having a problem, a comment about the USA being worse will pop up within the first 20 comments.
"There is nothing new to be discovered in physics now. All that remains is more and more precise measurement"

They killed those off because they were major security holes. Little bits of random HTML.

They don't care what it is installed on, as long as only one set of hardware at a time is talking back to homebase for updates.
