  1. pulling the leg on Growth of E-Waste May Lead to National 'E-Fee' · · Score: 1

This looks like a case of governmental robbery. Itis well known that electronics are very valuable waste. They contain gold, copper, tin and a lot more expensive material that can be easily processed. In fact, the recycling would generate a lot of cash. IMHO this is a war fee (some extra needed for a Iran offensive I suppose).

  2. Art & Magic on Is Programming Art? · · Score: 1

When I program it is like a flirt with beauty itself. This is the art. Diving into the structure and recognizing that the structure is a cosmic law makes programming magic and divine. But try to tell that someone who dwells in the depths of materialism. They cannot see, they will not hear and the never know.

We don't have democracy anyway. Democracy means you have an option, but in fact you are just electing people from the same big lobby. It just means you have an influence what smiling face will rip you off next.

In Europe, we have dropped the nationalism, because we already know that the third world has been ruined by America AND Europe. That makes me rather be ashame, than happy to live in such a good country.

We don't have democracies, we have lobby dictatorship for at least 20 years now.

Sure Saddam has written the virus! Thats part of the plot to destroy the American freedom and the finishing blow for the rest of the world. America need to take action and invade the country of the virus writer immediately! Our freedom is on the stake! The CIA already did warn us about new terroristic acts so MyDoom wasn't that big a surprise but we really need to defend our children before the enemy figures out their TV habits and they start wearing strange clothing and read the Koran!

  6. unfortunately a lot... on What's Keeping You On Windows? · · Score: 1

At the moment I dont like windows AND linux but windows has a few nice advantages:

    1) static
I dont want to play with the OS all the time. Linux keeps you busy. Ther is ALWAYS something to fix, to upgrade and such. That becomes boring if you want to do something aside playing with Linux.

    2) Games
They are FAR mor comfortable in Win

    3) Apps are more stable in Win
In Linux, using a Application means that I run into bugs, I never have seen in Windows apps. The Linux system is quite stable, the apps (including the desktops) not.

    4) directories
The directory structure of Linux is AWFUL. In Win, the System is in the Windows directory - in Linux everything is between all the system directories and the apps are scattered over the whole system. This may be nice for servers but on workstations it is awful. Linux with a clean: app, game, sys, data, src, ... directory style would be much more fun and I bet the companies would like that more too when the apps of them do not sit between the apps of the competition in the same directory.

  7. what about the others..? on Chinese Explorers 'Discovered America'? · · Score: 1

American history is something really incredible. It is in the rest of the world well known that not Chris discovered america, it has been the vikings with several colonies in USA and Canada. More incredible there are the evidences of the Michigan tables (recently exhibited in vienna) which indicate that VERY early indian and near-east folks have built colonies at the east coast. This tables have been declared a forgery by the Smithonian institute already a 100 years ago because there have been traces of a saw at the edges of the tables (oh well, an ancient saw has been discovered short after that, made with an forgotten copper-hardening process but I do not want to go into details to much). This tables show romans, greeks, hebrews and other of the early people, pictures of wars with the native americans and scenes from the bible on about 50.000(!) tables already found.

The outside-of-America-historians note that there is "an-American-wall" that shields American history from influences that deny the founder of America. Some even call it the "American wall of ignorance". It would also mean that in the past, the founders of America committed genocide on yews long before the Germans did - some of the folks that settled at the east coast have become natives. If I remember right the Chipaware indians are one of them.
As this events already took place around AD200 (the scripture on the table is related to coptic but not precisely identified) I really do not care much about the chinese. There are a lot of evidences about a far earlier world-trade system too: Traces of Cocaine in egypt mummies, Pinapples on paintings in Pompeij and so on.

Please Dont ask me why "Modern Science" ignored that facts for soooo long. I suppose they all rely on their research budget, that wont grow much with information like that.
