  1. Re:Another Microsoft Innovation, on Assorted CES Gizmos · · Score: 2, Insightful

This is the most tinfoil-hat wearing anti-MS unfunny joke that I have seen for a while.

If you read the article you would see that MS is experimenting with the market and the concept mostly, to see who would pay for it and how much people are prepared to pay. They don't care if the whole thing is a flop.

Do you think that Joe Six-Pack wants and needs linux on his desktop? Are you saying that if Joe Six-Pack does not want or need something then it shouldn't be done?

The Reality Dysfunction series is the best Sci Fi I have ever read, and I have read quite a bit. Very complex storylines, very interesting technology, lots of diverse scenery.

I didn't enjoy his detective novel series as much, but Fallen Dragon was very good (a recent novel he wrote).

Do you worry about having your credit card close to computer monitors and televisions? They use magnetic fields too. How about your fridge?

And if you lost power, I would imagine that the train would start grinding away on the tracks. I dare say that they have contingency designed into them there. What happens to aeroplanes when they lose power?

BTW - "Loosing power" means a completely different thing to "losing power". Sorry to call it, but it makes it hard to read your post when you use grammar like that.

There is a big difference between example code and the code they actually use, you know.

Give me a break. People who claim pot is 100% harmless are as stupid as the people who claim it is 100% harmful.

O Bin Laden is stupid. Instead of the WTC, he should have crashed the planes into Disneyworld, Hollywood and Redmond.

People making "funny" sigs like yours make me sick. I happen to live in Redmond, and I don't appreciate you telling the world that you wish my home should have been the target on 9/11.

If you don't like Microsoft then don't buy their products. If you don't like Hollywood then don't watch their movies. If you don't like Disney, don't go there and don't watch their shit either.

This may be off topic, but the inflammatory sig deserved it.

No, they are going to build a separate version of devices for all countries apart from the US. That actually makes up a larger market than the US itself.

It amuses me greatly to hear people post dribble like this. So many people on Slashdot seem to hold on to a reality where Microsoft does *everything* evil, and are at fault for everything.

Just listen to your little conspiracy theory - Microsoft put Dell up to doing something like that? Why would Dell waste all this money for Microsoft?

If you believe that, then the black helicopters will be arriving shortly to hand you your Stonecutters membership.
