that really depends on the bandwidth you need.
    but, short answer, is no.

if you have a bandwidth of 1Hz, as you are suggesting, this is much too small to transmit any useful inf at any speed. for analogue voice, you need at least a bandwidth of ~30 Khz, and thats without the overheads of initiating communication, etc. now, GSM uses digital communication, which has a higher bandwidth, but means that you can multplex (which is essential, othewise you would just run out of spectrum).

add on top of that more BW for housekeeping and you can see why you are running out of space.

spread spectrum, now theres a thought.......

  3. Re:Digital on Ripping from Vinyl, Simplified · · Score: 2, Insightful

i think you may have the wrong end of the stick. i dont doubt that your soundcard is good- but this isn't home audio, the turntables are aimed at professional music users (venues, recording studios DJs, etc) doing onboard a-d on the turntable is a good thing because: 1- it removes the need for a RIAA preamp to condition the signals so that the levels are right. (although some turntables have line out now) 2- no matter what you say, there is going to be less noise a-d'ing offboard, and it reduces signal noise brought on by cables. oh, and these beauties cost at least $1000 each...... HTH

if you want better quality when you are recording vinyl, a high end pro turntable such as Numark ttx1, (http://www.ttx1.com/) stanton str8-150 (http://www.stantonmagnetics.com/alpha44/tt_str8-1 50.asp) does onboard digital, so you can get digital straight out into your computer. better than your onboard soundcard. (although you need a digital in....)

when i want to read my email, i use an email client. when i want to message some one i use a messaging program. when i want to download porn i use a P2P app. most of the time the only 2 features om the email client i use is the reading "feature" and the "writing" feature. although it is useful to hava an address book in the email program. this is one of the reasons why i find pegasus so easy to use.its simple, lightweight, doesnt crash, supports HTML and RTF (bleck)and has an address book. this is all i need, not some complicated mail client that is full of uneccesary bloat that i , and may others dont need. remember, adding more features will reduce the stability of any program ie outlook & outlook express or kde vs enlightenment. (integrated browser crap)
    so there. pfffffffffffff

silencers however heat the gun barrel a lot more and reduce the muzzle velocity of the bullet, this device however wouldnt have any of those side effects, also silencers arent very effective on automatic weapons because of the cartridge
eject (big hole -so noise comes out of it) although if the bullet is supersonic, they hear the sonic boom anyhoo.

Congratulations! You have found a network of understanding people who are (or were) where you are and are eager to share their personal experiences with you. We understand the feelings of embarrassment, frustration, depression, anger and all the other emotions frequently experienced while trying to deal with slashdot. We understand because, just like you, we've been there. We also understand that, although normally not physically painful, slashdot may ultimately destroy your self-confidence, self-respect and play havoc with your emotional well being. Your once vibrant smile has turned to a frown. You may find yourself becoming reclusive, antisocial and extremely depressed. You may have felt the need to attempt to hide your postings -- wearing sunglasses where there is no sun, staying inside, posting as an anonymous coward, turning you monitor off when people pass, not wanting to have your picture taken, turning away from strangers and acquaintances, and on and on. You have become a master of disguise in your attempts to hide the fact that you frequent slashdot.

While others close to you may try to "understand," you know that they really cannot relate to your life as it has become -- living with the slashdot demon. After all, it is only a little glint in your monitor! As we've said, we understand, and we care. We have all experienced the very same emotions. We know how depressed you may become while slashdot seems to control your every move, every action and every thought. It has taken over your life. You live with it always -- morning, noon and night.

We will attempt to answer your questions in an understanding, caring and honest manner. Should you ask, we will share what we have learned during our own battle with slashdot. We'll share what our personal research has taught us, what worked and what didn't. Of course, what works for one, might not work for all. Therefore, we will not attempt to convince you that one course of treatment, medical professional or medical facility is best. We will, also, not attempt to diagnosis your symptoms or offer medical advice for we are not medical professionals. We will only explain our experiences. Any decisions regarding medications, injections, alternative treatments, surgery, etc., is extremely personal and must be based on a thorough understanding of slashdot as well as the potential advantages and disadvantages of each treatment option. It is recommended that you discuss all possible treatment options with your physician. We don't offer professional counseling -- what we do offer is lots of understanding and support from people who share similar experiences and emotions -- people just like you.
