I've hated EA ever since back in 1985 when I bought a game for my C64 that hammered my 1541 disk drive out of alignment. It took about 5 minutes to load and you could fry an egg on the drive's cover by the time it was finished. I finally got the copy protection stripped out and it loaded in about 24 seconds just as smooth as silk. I haven't bought a game from those fuckers since. I can't believe they're still in business the way they've screwed over their customers and they are still at it today.

Funny thing is that if he had just nutted up and slit the bitches throat he'd probably only have gotten 7 or 8 years. As long as you don't use a gun it's like they don't even care. People typically get more time for selling drugs than for murder. If he'd just beat her to death he could have claimed he snapped and used an insanity defense and pled it down to 2 or 3 years. The system is screwed. Murder and rape are becoming minor crimes.

I migrated from the Amiga to linux and over a decade later I'm pretty happy with it. It's not a perfect world but it's better than the alternatives and it's free. Not bad at all. I don't mind having to fix things up on a free operating system but paying out a bunch of money for windows and then struggling to keep it going would piss me off. I do have OS X on a mini and strangely that just works as long as I don't want to do anything Apple doesn't approve of. Linux video tools are getting better though so I may pass on OS X soon as well.

I can't imagine such a situation. I had a few cats that hung around my house years ago. They stayed out in my shop and kept the rats scared and I left them alone. One of them did commit suicide by walking on my wife's new car when she could see it but other than that we tolerated each other. I made sure they had a water supply but besides that I could care less about them. I don't understand people that allow animals to occupy their house but hey, to each his own.
