Maybe there aren't enough people that need Exchange on a phone? I think most people buy smartphones for the coolness factor not to take their work everywhere they go. When I think cool I don't think of MS.

I think the real problem with Microsoft in the smartphone area is most of the consumers buying smartphones are young and/or tech savvy. Most of the people who are not buy dumb phones. Microsoft built a smartphone for the technophobes and they don't want smartphones.

I'm glad you like it. If I had to use MS Exchange I might buy one too. Fortunately I am not so cursed. If they gave it to me for free I'd take it. I'm sure I could find somebody that was a big exchange user to sell it to.

You are behind the times. Most people in this country no longer work for a living. Those days you speak of are over and we're headed down the road to official socialism. As long as the Democrats can get the vote out they'll continue to win and as the economy tanks more and more it'll start to steamroll. I see a huge number of white trash voters with Obama stickers on their cars. Racism takes a back seat to gettin' that gubmint check.

There are actually some decent people in both parties but they don't get any support in the primaries because both parties are controlled by their respective extremist members. Of course to the extreme lefties like you, someone in the middle would seem extreme. Someone who pushed compromise would be a right wing tool. They actually rate politicians on a scale with 0 being left and 100 all the way right. Ted Kennedy was at one time rated a 10 when Dukakis was running for president. Dukakis was a 0. That's the way things roll. I'm not sure where President Obama rates but I'm sure you probably see him as a moderate since he's gotta be a dozen or so points right of Joe Biden's nuttiness. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mrkL0GQOaE0/TzppKi79mdI/AAAAAAAAAKA/Gc-KKvhWTqw/s1600/political+spectrum.jpg

I've got to admit Palin is a little wacky. At least until you compare her to Biden who is totally nuts then there is Pelosi who is bat shit crazy. I remember when the Democrats ruled the house and Biden and Pelosi stood 2nd and 3rd respectively in line for the executive office I prayed every night for President Obama's health and safety. I still do. Every single time I hear someone ranting about President Obama I tell them it could be worse. When they ask how I simply reply that if he dies Joe Biden takes over. Every single time I get some variant of "OH SHIT!" Amazing how people don't stop and think about what they wish for.

I heard about it. I used to be a Boost Mobile customer with a GSM phone that ran off of Nextel towers. I got a message they were going to be working on the towers and that I needed to get a CDMA phone. Sure enough a few weeks later my service dropped in the dirt. I didn't mind buying a new phone the old one was 3 years old and my wife wanted a smart phone. I purchased a new phone and walla! still no service. I drove all over the neighborhood and still not one damn bar. It worked great everywhere around town but not in my house where my wife makes 90 percent of her calls. She's now the proud owner of a new AT&T Samsung android type smartphone. They upgraded me right off their network. It was nice while it lasted.

There are alternatives. I bought several ebooks as a package from Baen.com that were written by an author named Roberta Gellis over almost 50 years ago. I had read some of them in my school library back in the 70's and was looking for them to reread a couple of years ago so I contacted the author at her website and she told me about Baen republishing them. For 6 dollars I got 4 or 5 ebooks in that series and enjoyed rereading the ones I had seen and discovering the ones I had never seen. This is the kind of thing we need more of. As a bonus they were all DRM free! Don't let the covers fool you. They look like harlequin on the cover but read like Game of Thrones inside.
