Funny thing about that is that at least half of the Republicans would be hoping McCain would skip on out so Sarah could take over. I wonder how many Democrats would rather have Joe? I bet it's a tiny fraction. Only the ones that are pissed that the USSR didn't win the cold war. ;)

Ah so many love to hate on Fox News. I remember when Rather was on CBS. I didn't hate on CBS, I simply turned the channel when the CBS bullshit bandwagon came on at 6:30. Now all the liberals are upset that the right wingers have their own news channel when they've had at least 3 or 4 of them for decades.

I bet it's a big higher than that. Even so though, I doubt that is the problem. I believe that android is just outclassed by iOS. While on phones it's not so noticeable on the tablets it's glaringly obvious. I personally want a tablet that I can just load a linux distro like Ubuntu or Slax on but most people just want what works and for most that seems to be iOS. Love 'em or hate 'em but Apple is leading the pack here. With the price point about equal they're going to rule.

It is likely Microsoft is more frightened of Google's patent portfolio. That's the only way to thrive in the software world, you must arm yourself with thousands and thousands of vague, broad and obvious patents and then waylay all the smaller, more vigorous and innovative companies that are trying to compete with you. If you can use the courts and your patent portfolio to stifle them you can continue to make money without having to adapt to new markets.

Just like smokers that inhale 3 packs a day and live into their 80's and 90's and some die in their 40's it's all pretty much up to the physical ability of the individual's body to resist the poison. Meanwhile continuing to run the price of electricity out of sight affects everyone right now. I haven't read the actual figures on how much pollution we're talking about here but I know in the last 30 to 40 years that pollution in general where I live has pretty much been stable. Population has gone up but pollution controls have about kept pace with the growth. I'd like it to go lower, who wouldn't, but I'm not prepared to pay another 2 or 3 hundred dollars a month in electric bills to do it.

But then almost all people take things on faith in their daily lives. I'm constantly amazed at how many people tell me stuff that they heard and accept it as gospel, then tell me the bible was written by men.
