Exactly! It's worse in software patents. In hardware you can do something that a competitor does but do it with different hardware but in software if you do some function that a competitor does it doesn't matter that you did it with different code. It's the function that is patented in software patents not the code. The code is of course covered by copyright which renders the entire matter insane to start with. Lets just use copyright to protect software design! How simple! Not to mention fair. We can't have that though it would interfere with stifling innovation.

I can understand your annoyance, I've often felt that one of the reasons linux suffers from so few malware incidents is that the users are generally more technically proficient and security conscious. I always notice where my software is coming from and take care to notice when I'm redirected by a site. I always check to make sure that I don't allow anything to be installed I didn't ask for. Not saying I'm a genius but I've noticed most windows users seem to download and just click okay buttons indiscriminately without reading anything.

Anti-Trust litigation is not likely now that Microsoft is donating millions of dollars to politicians. They learned their lesson from before when they didn't donate hardly anything at all to political candidates and got dragged into court for their anti-competitive activities. Soon after that happened the campaign donation checks started getting processed and magically all their problems with the department of justice started to melt away. Even Microsoft can learn.

McDonalds in particular has contracts with beef suppliers and provide their own QA inspectors. Their requirements are much stricter than the USDA and it produces a superior product and a steady supply which is why big companies like this utilize this method.

The problem with this delusion of yours is that for the most part the Apple products are working better, sometimes much better, than their competitor's products. As for overpriced, that's strictly opinion. I've run Apple hardware and software for almost a decade now in addition to linux. One thing I've noticed is that Apple hardware is superior to every PC I have owned. I've mostly been using linux since 1999 when I migrated from the Amiga platform due to the lack of modern hardware and the changes in Linux over the last decade have been Amazing. I've also really enjoyed using OS X, especially after Tiger (10.4) arrived. I keep a windows machine around and currently have one running Win7 and one with XP Pro. Truthfully I can say that they aren't bad operating systems but OS X is far easier to use and Linux is more powerful and efficient. I don't own a smartphone but from looking at the Droids and iPhones that people at work use I'd say iOS is better than Android and in fact most of the Droid owners seem to think so too. Now that the iPhone is on Verizon a couple of guys I know went from a droid to an iphone. I can't comment on Windows phone as of the hundred plus people that I know in my building I don't know of a single one of them that own one but it's possible they exist. I do own a gentouch android tablet and it's a piece of junk but then I know their are better examples of Android tablets around though I don't think any of them are any better than the iPad. So while it's possible that you are right about Apple prices are too high it seems a lot of people disagree with you. But you go on hating all you want. Apple keeps making money and their customers keep being happy. You meanwhile are bitter and pathetic.
