I'm an old fart as well and I can easily remember how public discourse back in the day wasn't all that courteous. The language has gotten a little courser....well a lot courser but other than that it's always been nasty.
How can Bernie possibly win. Even if he gets more votes Hillary gets the delegates. That system is totally rigged, she started the primaries with over 500 superdelegates in her pocket. Don't worry though, I expect Trump's airplane to have a mysterious accident similar to what happened to Senator Heinz. When you can't afford to buy a politician then that's the only way to handle them. They don't want no loose canons in the White House causing problems for the gravy train. Bernie better watch his ass too. He wouldn't be the first problem area for the Clintons to suffer an accident. Who do these guys think they are anyway, they're fucking up the entire script for the 2016 Presidential Campaign.
It's for those of us who don't like to share. I'm selfish about all my data. If I want someone to see something I'll cut/paste it into an e-mail. It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you.
Can not say. I don't know if dropping the bomb was a good thing or not. Sometimes there really aren't any good choices. We're a lot more sensitive to collateral damage nowadays than they were back then. In WWII if you lived in a town with a munitions factory there was a very good chance you'd be dodging bombs. I've read about the bombings and the human cost was horrendous. Then again, with systematic strategic bombing by conventional bombs it's very likely the human cost would have been as bad or worse. An amphibious invasion of the Japanese homeland? That would have most likely cost many more lives in the end and destroyed the infrastructure totally making the rebuilding of Japan a much harder and costlier effort. Two bombs and the high command folded. Good for everyone except the people of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
I went and read up on the supposed death camps run by Eisenhower. That turns out to be total bullshit. It was one author who basically used smoke and mirrors to try to drum up something to sell his books. Try doing a little reading.
It's hard to compare isolated atrocities to a systematic and absolute rape and pillage of a civilian population. Sure, no one's hands were without blood but just take a look at what happened in China over the 12 years of Japanese invasion. In my opinion even the holocaust pales. It makes me shudder to think human beings can act like that.
A world without nuclear weapons? I wonder how many wars would have been fought if there were no nukes to make the superpowers realize they couldn't afford WWIII. That even if they won they'd still lose.
Take a look at what the Japanese did in China. They made the Nazis look tame. I figure that they think they got off light and they did. You don't want to think about what would have happened if the Chinese had invaded Japan at the end of that war. The bombing of Pearl Harbor that everyone demonizes the Japanese for is not really the bad thing they did. On the scale of their infamous acts that was about.01 The way they treated POWs was horrendous but even worse was the way they treated defeated civilian populations. We can debate the dropping of the two bombs on Japan. Maybe they saved even more lives than they took, both Japanese and American. There is however no debate about the uncivilized behavior of the Japanese military.
Got to love it. He got involved in politics. Still, they treated him worse than the guys that break into financial institutions to steal credit card info. Of course, in a politician's mind, making them look like the incompetent fools they are is worse.
I agree. Still they should take into account that he did no damage and did report the flaw. Those are mitigating factors. How much you bet those missing Ipads are glossed over? Isn't that theft? Nope, not for the right people it isn't.
I've known ex-cons and most of them ended up repeating their crimes or worse. There are certainly exceptions. I worked with one guy who had served 8 years for armed robbery. He went to tech school and got a job working with me, I was his trainer, and he was eager to learn and worked hard. He earned my respect. Unfortunately he started hanging out with former "friends" and wound up getting arrested for drug charges. He managed to hire a lawyer and actually got that one dropped but then failed a drug test 6 months later at work (aircraft avionics) and was put on probation and sent to rehab for 90 days. Two years later he failed another drug test. I actually cried when he told me about it, I felt like he was a son to me. I was so proud of him for what he had achieved after 8 years in prison. I had told him so in the past and I wrote a letter when he failed the first drug test supporting him to our top management official. I told him when he left that if he didn't get rid of the drugs they'd drag him down. Last I heard a couple of years ago he was working for the Saudi Air Force on their F15s. I hope he can keep it up. He was a good kid who never could shake the old neighborhood. I knew several others I went to school with that are lifers now. Some make it but most don't. I don't hate them, it's just the way it is.
Yes that's right. I obey the law and pay my taxes like a good little citizen so of course it's all my fault. The poor felons victimized by fuckers like me.
There will be no permission. The real reason he's in jail is they're pissed off everyone knows how fucked up their system is. He outed them and they popped his ass in the slammer for it. If they were actually interested in providing a secure system they would have rewarded him instead. The way he was treated says everything about Sharon Harrington's professionalism. She's a typical CYA type interested only in her own continuance of incompetence at her job. I'd say the people in that county should see that she's sacked if they ever want an improvement. Wonder how many of those Ipads walked off on her watch? Maybe they could find a cell for her too.
I'm glad she got turned around but you know she's by far the exception. Most just go straight back to what they were doing or worse and their skill set is improved from the education they got in prison. Some people are just bad.
There was no argument, just you spouting nonsense. Your follow up was only slightly more lucid. I get the picture though. The only thing you can count on with Microsoft is spending lots of money. I don't know how many times their upgrades broke everything here. I remember the Vista rollout, half the computers were down at any one time for months. Really it was never right until windows 7 came out. You know you're the shit when you can get people to pay you to test your alpha software for you then pay you again for the bugfix. We are still on 7 here and I'm hoping I retire before they go to win10.
I don't know, as politicians go nowadays I find President Obama to be pretty honest. For a politician. Romney as well was fairly honest. Wrong though. I'm enjoying watching the Trump roller coaster though. It's a blast! I like chaos and everywhere Trump goes chaos thrives.
It's a bad sign that people are buying up and hoarding.22 rounds. It used to be nothing to go pick up 500 rounds of.22 ammo but a lot of places limit you to 200 rounds if you can even find it. The.22 is the survivalist's weapon of choice. Cheap, quiet and deadly in the right hands.
Hmmm..... I don't think either President Obama or Mitt Romney are stupid or crooked. I'm not a fan of either of them but I can't say I dislike them personally as they both seem to be fairly decent people.

No it wont. It'll all be done in secret courts with subpoenas that are classified.

So you're the one! Hoarder!
I guess to them it wasn't a bug. It was a feature.

Don't forget to order a huge batch of Ipads and "lose" a bunch of them in the process.

Most of them view human decency as a weakness and have only disdain for those who would be role models.

What? That gobbledygook made no sense at all. They forgot how to be microsoft? Man, don't drink and post.
Of what? Not cheating in football for sure. The Pats make Hillary look honest.
