It's about equivalent to a Pentium III. I've been playing around with one and I made the mistake of trying to run Scorched3d on it. That was really pretty sad. Solitaire rips though! I have to say although it's usable as a desktop I can pick up a curb throw away computer that will easily out do it. The place the Pi shines is with things like home automation and car computers and things like that. The only limit is your own creativity.
They are committed to keeping the price at $35. For the money that's a lot of bang. The thing is that it's useful for all kinds of things at an almost throw away price. Sure, for $100 I can get something that'll run rings around it. I can buy 3 Pi's for that price and do all kinds of projects. Actually I set up a camera network around the house with 6 of the A+ models that are just 20 bucks apiece. They use next to no power and if it gets fried I'm only out 20 dollars. These things aren't really for normal computing, they are for hobbyists and educators.
The thing is accidents happen. Even people trying to be attentive occasionally miss a bike in a blind spot. As much as I like to think I'm perfect I've been guilty myself. Fortunately when I checked my mirror and looked back to my right quarter and somehow missed the big ass Harley in my blind spot and started to change lanes I heard him just after I flipped on the blinker. I looked again and saw him as he took evasive action. I never left my lane but I scared the shit out of him. He came by and flipped me off and I just waved at him. I think those loud pipes save a lot of lives.
I've seen that too. When you put inattentive auto drivers and inattentive bicyclists together you get dead and maimed bicyclists. Cars are big and armored. If I had to ride a bike it'd be bike lane only or on a sidewalk. Getting into the street is big risk. Sometimes I don't feel safe in a car.
I'm fully convinced most motorists don't know about blinkers or if they do they think it means "I'm coming over to your lane now get the fuck out of my way." As for headlights I recently drove in a blinding rain where I could barely see 25 feet in front of my car. I was amazed at how many shapes in the grey wall appeared suddenly and were cars flashing by. The grey and silver cars are particularly hard to spot. It's gotten to the point now I don't drive in the rain at all if I can help it since about 15 percent of the ignorant fuckers haven't figured out how to turn their lights on in a driving rain. Here's a hint, if you have to turn your wipers on then turn the damn lights on too! They should hard wire the headlights to the wipers so they come on automatically.
If I had been hit 3 times by cars I know I'd have to take a look at what I was doing wrong. It might be their fault as you say but most cyclists seem to manage to wobble down the road without getting run over repeatedly. Not to mention that sooner or later it's going to be fatal. Think about it.
I always get the fuck away from cyclists when I'm driving my car. Most of them seem to have a serious death wish doing stupid shit that I wouldn't do even in my 2 and a half ton steel machine. I'm only amazed more of them don't off themselves under the wheels of a car. I don't need the aggravation of dealing with all the red tape involved in helping them commit suicide not to mention having to wash that shit off my car.
Exactly. They are on the losing side in a civil war. That's just what you want to take in, an army. The problem with this group of refugee's is the political makeup of the group. The last thing anyone wants is importing a few thousand ISIS followers. There are a lot of military aged males in these groups. The media shows women and children suffering but I watched mostly men of military age boarding the buses for Europe. It makes you take pause.
I wont say it's drastic but on the 2.4 Core2Duo based Macbook the difference between 10.10 and 10.6 is noticeable. On my Quad i7 Mini that came with Lion I can't really tell the difference between 10.7 and 10.10 but then I think 10.7 might have been the most noticeable drop in performance. It's not a huge difference and really Yosemite isn't bad but all the features they've added are less than useless to me. At work we're still on Windows 7 so I can't really comment on Windows 8 but most of the people I've talked to that have it are less than thrilled with that. I still remember the debacle that was Unity when I ran it for a month or so trying to see if I could get used to it. Ubuntu just destroyed a great desktop. There is a certain point that something is done and things just need to be tweaked for performance and bug fixes.
I've got to say that the Mac desktop peaked with Snow Leopard. I'm running Yosemite on my Macbook and it's really not all that impressive. I remember upgrading from Leopard and seeing a massive speed boost. Now it gets just a little more sluggish with every upgrade. The major feature upgrade? The fucking Apple Store.
It's normal to want more. I think the difference is in what you're willing to do to get it. I'd like to have a million dollars in the bank and I could have had it but I was unwilling to work and sacrifice to get it. I live comfortably and have plenty of spare time to enjoy life.
This sounds interesting. Could you maybe elaborate a bit more on how you're utilizing the Raspberry Pi?
No.....no he doesn't.

You either lack a sense of humor or you're just generally a bitch. Pick one.

Don't let him float away.
Can't these addresses simply be blocked in the firewall?
No, Microsoft Fucks you!
If someone sticks a dick up your ass you should care about it. Sony fuck me once, only once.
It depends on the roadway really. If it's 50-60 mph traffic take the sidewalk. Seriously, it is better to break the law than to die.

Works for me!
I always thought the helmets were there to help the cops find your head when you get decapitated.

The nice thing about the people from Central America is that they are willing to work when they get here.
I'd bet they spent all their time watching the Simpsons.

I thought we exterminated them because they were in the way.
Gene Roddenberry died and that was basically the end.
