    Think about this.

what part of the system is recorded by any OS?

    The system ROM, that's what!

simply remove the ROM chip, replace with a different ROM and there you go...CLEAN PC!

No serial #s to trace or use against you, you still have those "valuable" CDs, plus you gave the school a nice, OS-free PC to use as they see fit, without the MS garbage to clutter up their life as well....100% GOOD DEAL!

No matter how you look at it, Gateway is DOING the right thing, and I applaud them for taking a stand while others are sitting back and waiting out the "storm".

*Next commercial shows Ted milking his companion, singing ZZ-Top's "THUG"*.

Get that cow a beard and fuzzy guitar!

Ted does NOT look like Billy Gibbons!

Bring the only point the politicians know and react to: YOUR VOTE!

List strong points against the bill, showing ONLY the "evils" it allows and also vividly shows the serious lack of "good" it does as well.

Senator Hollings and company must realize that his bill is nothing more than treason against US, and therefore illegal to implement.

Does this bill smell of political "Anti-Trust" to you like it does to me?

How can a bill be passed that denies the people while enabling the business to run over the people he is sworn and elected to protect and assist?
Is this not a direct conflict of interest here?

I for one will never abide by ANY law I deem illegal and immoral. I never pledged away my right to be an individual, nor mindlessly obedient to any governing body that does not have permission from the people, corporations all be damned!

The time for armed revolt to protect ourselves from intrusive and abusive opression is at hand, and must be abolished as fast as possible. To do any less invites slavery to the corporate mentality that is currently being thrust upon us without our permission or our vote!

While armed revolt is apalling, it is better than living under a directorate that is neither elected, approved nor permitted by the framers of our constitution, and allowing this bill's passage would undermine every right and freedom we ALL have come to enjoy and deserve, in whole and in part.

I suggest the voters take opposition to this bill and at election time, VOTE OUT Senator Hollings, and tell him that his bill was the reason you no longer want him in office anymore!

  4. Not all sites use tri-sectored antennas. on 2.4 Megabit Cellular Modem · · Score: 1, Informative

Many old sites use 120 degree panels for tri-sectored coverage, and more are running 90 degree panels in each sectored area.

Check out some panel antenna mfg. and review the beam patterns of Celwave, DB, Kathrein and Andrew.
Newer styles use electronic steering and downtilting to null fill "bad" geo-areas.
even Crunchcraft makes "commercial" antennas for 802.11b, as well as Maxrad, Comtelco, and Antenex(no panels, just omni and yagi for base apps).

Each sector is not added to "your" total throughput, as you can only be in one sector's coverage for "X" amount of time before you are handed off to a new cell/sector, unless you drive in 360s and grab only that one cellsite.

Mod an old Mot. bag phone, use it to scan active data channels, RSSI and you'll see reuse occur within that carrier's POP. Sectoring reduces interference from adjacent sites, that's why you never see the same channels being used within a 5 cell "pattern", and also, you'll not see the same LCR channel active within that grouping either.

We used a dead carrier aimed away from our service area in order to keep a competing carrier out of our coverage pattern, we null that sector, place the carrier there at 1/2 power and let it run, it's also used to keep our service out of the competition's pattern as well, since we both had "A" band licenses for that specific POP.

Sectoring coverage is a great method to strengthen your carrier power where it's needed, while minimizing the return loss due to in-band interference and IMD products(no cheap TTAs here!).(TTA-TowerTop Amplifiers).
Sectoring also keeps the TX power OUT of your RX system as well, sort of like a "separation filter" but not really, due to bandspread of the uplink/downlink frequencies used by cellsites.

We have very limited PCS coverage where I am located, and NO GSM, 3G or the like is going to arrive and take over because the dimwits here love football more, and "modern" technologies are too elusive for them to comprehend in the slightest.

I installed a pair of panel antennas in the Oshkosh, WI. area for a local carrier, simply because they needed the network built and fully operational the next day!
The equipment was already on site, we arived at 6:00 AM with all the necessary equipment and proceeded to spend the next 18 hours getting that microcell up and fully operational, what a pain in the ass that was! This "installation" was FULL, cabling, routing, cutting access holes UP in the signs, programming the site and initial testing one it was complete, not to mention drive-outs to test pattern/coverage.

If you ever get to Oshkosh, WI. stop in at the PLANEVIEW restaurant on Hwy. 41 and look towards the top of the sign, just below the highest sign, the outermost colum has a pair of Celwave 20dB panels mounted to it, facing down the coridor of the highway, that's my installation(it was supposed to be temporary, but no more, the coverage is too hot for them to have me take it down now)!

So sorry, but a "life" begins when the damn child is born, NOT before. Since mommy is NEEDED to maintain its bodily functions which can not do so on their own, the fetus is NOT a separate life, but a proxy-being.

Any fetus that has yet to realize singular existance is not a "life" to force laws upon the parent. It is a single being once any fetus is outside the mother and is self sustaining, then, it is a life, not before.

When a fetus NEEDS the warmth, nourishment and oxygen supply fed into its bloodstream, it is NOT a separate person, no matter how you use religious B.S tovalidate your feelings, the fact remains.
Inside the mother, it's not a single entity.
Outside the mother's womb, it IS a separate entity, and then you can consider it a life.

Sorry, I will NEVER concede to laws having total control over any woman's body, that is NOT the right or authority of ANY government!

Babies cost the government NOTHING, take nothing and consume nothing, therefore, the government has NO need to regulate any human beings body, no matter WHAT or HOW they think!

Leave gods and religious BULLSHIT out of the living people's lives once and for all!

The WTC fatalities should never have been allowed if there really was a "god" that was real, caring and thoughtful!

I know this was totally O.T. but I had to stand up and voice MY opinion with MY thoughts, and nobody else's.

Copyright does for fair use, like Ted Kennedy did at Chappaquidick(me thinks that is how it's spelled*).

Stop buying that which you hate, continuing to do so, you tell yourself that you agree with the MPAA/RIAA and their tactics to date!

    Simple!
Just buy an IFR, copy ALL of the LCRs around the areas you drive and set the service monitor to GENERATE, and crank the dial all the way up on the LCR/s frequency of course!
Use and outside antenna to get max range, better still, get the 30dB generate amplifier option IFR sells, that way you can get a much denser signal.

    OR:

Buy an old Motorola 250 series bag phone, short pins 20 and 21 together, hit 55# to get (US) displayed, then enter your channel number by keying: 11XXX where XXX is the FCC channel designator, then key in "#" to set that channel.

There are many more "tricks" to add to this, but you get the idea.
To reset the phone, key 01# and you will reset, and then you will see streaming data referencing the active control channel, RSSI and more.

Brute force intermod via 800 Mhz. Type I, II, IIi and LTR radios "may" get you some disconnects, but highly unlikely(806-866), Cell: 824-849/866-894+, A/B bands. Wide filters may get some IMD products through, but commercial radios seldom employ wideband filtering in the TX/RX sections, but hey, try those high powered mobiles on the harmonic relationship(406-470 Mhz. Those old Maratracs are easily "unfiltered".....Micors also.
