I agree... Apparently they made an update today, but, since they got slashdoted I can't read the latest email... My favorite email was the sisters... that one was pretty good, or the one titled "dragon".
Whenever they come back up, I urge you all... to go see
Homestarrunner.com is a funny online flash cartoon based off of a childrens book that these two guys made in the 80's. in the last two years they have made a good few dozen animated shorts on their characters Strong Bad, Strong Sad, Strong Mad, Homestar, and some chick who I forget her name...
its 2 bad you can't see it... maybe someone will be nice enough to convert them to mpeg or avi for ya:)
I've a big fan of homestarruner.com When I can see it... Due to the slashdot effect. I can't! I've been trying to figure out why the site has slow and I know why!
Damn slashdot affect... damm you!!!! *shakes fist and trails off*.
Eitherway, Homestarrunner rules!
I could see big name POP artists using crap loads of $$$ for their crappy music...
Take the cost of them having to purchase the music from someone else, pay for the band, and backup singers, pay for the studio time, producer, manager, the CD production, the CD inlay printing, the packaging, and the distribution might come out to be a little high..
Now I know it doesn't cost that much all the time, a guy I work with produced 1000 CD's for about $2000...
The music industry is way to overhiped... I'd rather listen to undeground music then mainstream.
Where Im from, cable is dominate. a fair amount of people use DSL, but the QoS is better, no PPPoE, no 'signing on', no dynamic IP's. Cable is always on, and the IP stays static most of the time.
Up here in Manitoba Canada, we only have one Television company at the time, Shaw Cable... Currently they offer 4 Tiers of Cable packages, plus Digital...
Next year, a new Television company is going to start offering cable packages per channel, where you pay for only the channels you want, nothing else...
This way the cable company can focus on better content, if they decided to put sponsor logo's on the screen and cut out ad's. I'd go for that.
ya I think your the only one :P. You have to admit though they put alot of work into it... and it is funny at times...

Cable beats DSL anytime
