I could see it being a conversation piece at the least. I hope it does a 24 hour clock. My Casio G-Shock with digital compass is getting a bit beaten, but I like it's 24 hour clock:). April sounds like the right time to upgrade...
FYI Glowstick liquid tastes disgusting. I had one of those new in mouth glowsticks and for reasons I will not cover I had a case of jaw clenching, and the dang thing broke, ick I needed a gallon of redbull to wash it all away. Anyhow, this H2O Glow stuff would be a hit at most of the clubs and such I frequent.:) Hmm...this gives me an Idea...SlashRave 2000 Featuring Sasha, Paul Van Dyk, John Digweed, etc...sponsored by ProLume, RedHat, and Natalie Portman.
Minus the portman sponsorship, i think a slashdot rave would go over well:).
First off, DrewMIT, who would hijack a classic rock station to broadcast nsync?:)
Anyhow, back when I was incarcerated in high school (jonkatz fodder) a friend of mine rigged up a little transmitter that overrided the signal of FM radio. It cost a whopping $20 to build, it ran off the car battery and was about the size of an 8mm tape, not counting the little antenna he attached to it. We would amuse ourselves by driving on the interstate and scaring little teenyboppers in their VWs listening to (back then) nirvana or butt err pearl jam. The look on their faces when that would cut off for "Hey, you! You in the black VW!..." or something cool like underworld. Though the signal was mono and had a dynamic range worth shit, we mainly kept it to vocal hijinks. Now that you mention it, even "legit" FM has a horrible sound both from a technical and a musical standpoint. Hijacking a signal like this RDS thing isn't all that new, RDS just makes it easier:)
I got the Phoenix gold from Colorcase a few months ago. Aside from the woman who could not understand my location
Me: "I live in Coral Gables FL"
Woman: "Coral Cables?"
Me: "Coral GABLES"
Woman:"Coral Zables?"
Me: "Argh! Coral Gables! 3-3-1-4-6!"
Woman: "Tree-Tree-Won-Fouah-Six OK!"
I had ordered my case and my friend a Black Knight. His Black Knight got in, but my phoenix was B/O. They finally sent it out, but gave me the 300 watt P/S model as opposed to the 250. Mistake in my favor, I didn't complain. Anyhow, I found that any floppy will fit in a colorcase if you pop the front cover off of it. it worked for my internal LS-120 as well as a standard 3.5" drive. Others I know have ordered from colorcase, and they asked for Charlie Yang the manager and he speaks way better english (engrish!) than the woman.
It was rather entertaining, wasn't it? Though I do think that the film could have used some more technical elements, I thought it was fun to see how their personal lives unfolded:)
I know some of you see this library censorware deal as an OK thing. It may be for now, but it is merely a stepping stone for the government to censor further... Remember this one?
When they took the fourth amendment, I was quiet because I didn't deal drugs. When they took the sixth amendment, I was quiet because I was innocent. When they took the second amendment, I was quiet because I didn't own a gun. Now they've taken the first amendment, and I can say nothing about it.
Same situation. We gotta stop it now before it gets out of control. Is it me, or is the government just doing waaaay too much catering to the 'soccer moms' and irresponsible parents of this nation?
One of the little known reasons beta failed was the fact that Sony had issues about letting publishers who did porn use it for distribution...i read a comment to this effect in the second issue ever of wired magazine..:)
It has an IR port to get the images out. :)

Edlin is in Win2K, in response to ch-chuck's question.
What was the name of that company awhile back that for 35 grand would put you into space by December of 2001 or your money back?
In reference to WE GOT THE BOMBS and the frenchman who said 'yeah we got them too':
Sure you got 'em, but they suck! French nuclear weapons sounds like an oxymoron. I'd like to see Dassault or whomever make a system to match a D5.

True. 100 bucks ain't bad at all, considering logo dev can be in the 10s of thousands
I've seen a shirt with the GPL on it...so that idea would not work anyway...
