Microsoft actually has this program called BizSpark which helps startups get off the ground. It gets you cheap access to MS software and access to potential partners. From the perspective of the common startup case, it's a pretty good route to go.
The vast majority of startups will never be an overnight runaway success facebook, twitter or google.
The lack of an ebook standard has thusfar kept me from buying any hardware ebook reader. I would be happy to shell out the cash for one if i knew i could use it with all the books out there.

Gentoo has one of the best linux communities ive ever seen. I've only experanced the gentoo forums and the #gentoo on efnet but both are full of cool tricks and helpful people. Its simply amazing to find a community of friendly, inteligent and knowledgeable people like this on the internet. It must be some kind of shock and awe type campain.
last winter he forgot to switch to regular fuel before he shut it off and it froze solid, he had to light a fire under the engine to get it warm enough to work again.
I must say if you get near a big city like boston 3G is AWESOME. Its like having a portible cable modem. But closer to where i live i get at most 8KB/sec and the connection drops sometimes (near Hartford, CT and western Massachusetts). I also tried useing on vacation in cape cod last summer to download some debian isos...did'nt work out too well i maxxed out at about 3KB/sec and lost my connect a lot.
I have the Kyocera 2235 Phone and a USB cable, its a pretty good combo for portibility but you can't charge the phone while you use the net, which sucks really bad IMO. Ive been stuck at my GFs parents house before and stayed up all night MUDing with it and run out of juice. The next day i went to verizon and told them and all the guy said is "Its not supposed to be used like that, its designed for mobile use." or something along those lines. I would have dropped Verizon then just for giving me that cheeze ass line but I have a really good phone number and don't want to lose it....
It's really nice to see unified support by KDE and GNOME on this issue. The way they have been getting along lately i would'nt be supprised if we saw some joint projects...
Star Wars and Star Trek have totally turned into shitty franchises milked for money. It's to be expected though i mean even the teenage mutant ninja turtles started out as a badass comic book and was reduced to cowabunga after. It's the american way to use something untill you can't make money from it anymore and then throw it away.
Buying bootleg anime or bootleg anything else is the worst information crime. That is most likely supporting the mafia in other countries and you are giving money to absoulte criminals.
Fansubbers don't make anything they just do it because they love the anime and they want people to see it. I think that is a noble thing.
Please consider actually paying for the dvds. Paying for anime will bring more anime to the usa in the future and encourages things like having anime on usa tv.
When you just download and encourage others to download anime you are hurting the usa anime industry which is not big and powerful like the RIAA and actually does need your money.
I don't however have anything against downloading fansubs of shows that arnt in the usa yet. If you really like the series buy the DVDs later for the extras.
i guess it really depends on the person... i find it to be a big letdown when i watch an episode that dosent advance the story at all because that is what im there for, the story.
To most non anime geeks trigun is new. and its pretty darn good comedy/sci-fi im glad to see its getting better exposure.
Plus it has some of the most cosplayable chars around which is always a plus...(i look forward to handing candy out to the little vashes next holloween)
The funny thing about trigun is that the first 12 episodes are almost all filler and the last 12 are all the content. you could skip the first 12 and still totally understand the whole story.
So if you dont like it at first hang in there...the sci-fi story that kicks in around ep 12 is really cool.
Recently my 21 inch CRT failed and I had the need to get a new monitor. I checked out a lot of different options but as it turns out i ended up with a 19 inch lcd and i think its just wonderful. The ghosting in FPS games is small but noticable but its not so hard to adjust to and i dont see any ghosting in any other apps, including viewing divx movies and watching DVDs.
before you pass judgement on LCDs you should check out this latest generation. With each new series the problems become smaller and less annoying. Also i no longer need a fan in my window to cool my office off, my old crt threw a lot of heat.
i have found that even set to "High" divx is choppy unless i am plugged in (using windows 2000 mplayer2 and xvid). im not sure why this is, i can only guess something else is being slowed down by being unplugged.
i have an older version with a slower 800mhz processor and 4 megs of video ram. it struggles with the latest divx encodes unplugged, but plugged in they display fine. The best feature is its real life 8-10 hour battery life. i could never go back to a 2 hour laptop.

King's Bounty was what the whole heroes of might and magic series was based on, and that came out in 1990.

in the year 2235 100 million will only get you a loaf of bread and some penguin mints.

Now you might really get a buzz from licking a nine volt.
Gollum could definatly take Jar Jar in a fight. I don't think it would even be close.

yea, whisper of the heart is amazing, its really sad that the evil empire of disney bought the rights to all of the most beautiful anime.
i has been well over a year sense i viewed love hina and i still remember narus boobs flopping around like she wasent wearing a bra.
seriously when it comes to boob movement under the shirt love hina is crazy. way beyond the scope of a tenchi bath scene.

Im sure they got a great deal on pilot canidate. It wasent that bad...think of it as discount bin anime.

The cartoon network is really a kids channel i think LH is a bit too ecchi for that audiance. Maybe HBO would pick it up or something...

These are great cursoe based laptops and becides the software based modem everything is linux compatible.
here is a Link to the fujitsu website for it.
