you can't lie about investments. There was tons of shady crap going on to hide the fact that those derivatives were made up of worthless loans to people who were bound to default. Most of the really bad loans were to house flippers and the like who had no incentive to keep the properties since they didn't live in them.
the reason you want everybody to go to college is to get the kind of well rounded education that results in an informed electorate with critical thinking skills. Despite what you might think you _can_ teach critical thinking. It's best done in the humanities, since you can teach almost anyone to read Shakespear with enough effort but there are limits on how much math you can teach (around the time you get past Trig).
As for why you want a well educated populace, well they're much less likely to make stupid decisions about politics that hurt you personally.
entrance exams are fine, but we're just splitting hairs. The point is to do away with tuition at public universities.
Vocational Schools are fine as well, but that can be handled by the community colleges. What I don't want to see are a bunch of ITT tech style "schools" that drain money from the public coffers in exchange for not teaching. That's easy enough to avoid. Just fund the Community College's vocational programs.
But again, we're getting into the weeds here. The point is that if people want to learn you teach them.
We have a ruling class. Just like the kings of old. You can even occasionally join it through trickery, guile or just plain extraordinary good fortune. Just like in the old days.
Yes, the world is a complicated place. But that doesn't mean there aren't systems in place that can be recognized. Or that these systems don't exist for the benefit of all mankind. As Gore Vidal put it: I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I'm a conspiracy analyst.
Oh, and Protip: You sounds like some goof from the 90s writing about Sega Genesis games when you use the phrase "Protip".
This gets prison time? The entire US Economy was crashed in 2008 by people lying about the value of derivatives and _this_ is what we send people to jail for?
it sounds dirty when I write it like that, but hey, if you're into Warhammer, D&D, etc you _will_ have a Facebook because that's where the meet ups are coordinated. Same with meet ups for computer clubs, the 3D Printer crowds, etc. Facebook took over what used to be done on usenet & bulletin board systems.
just buy more money? You realize that's what you sound like, right? Getting a new job isn't easy in most places. Especially if you're one of the millions without a college degree or if you've every had anything go wrong in your life (major illness by you or family, arrest and conviction, House burning down, etc, etc).
Telling people to just go find new work is all very bootstrappy and such, but let's not forget that the phrase "Pull yourself up by your bootstraps" describes an act that is literally impossible.
with very few exceptions. They're the ruling class. That's why corporations have all sorts of legal protections you and I don't have (you don't spill the blood of kings) and why they're never punished for their mistakes (if you're gonna hit the king you better kill the king).
America and all the rest of the world has a strong class divide as well as various caste systems used to divide the working class into manageable chunks that can be rules. Once you realize this everything else makes sense.
Trump is a consequence of abandoning the working class. People like Hilary Clinton (and a lot of/.ers) tell guys in their 30s and 40s they need to retrain for skills they couldn't learn in their 20s with loans they can't afford and no money coming in to support themselves let alone the families they had before their jobs were automated/outsourced/replaced with an H1-B.
I've noticed a trend where everybody's in support of the government stepping in to help out until it's somebody else. Then it becomes teh Socialisms. This needs to stop. The working class needs solidarity. We need to stop pretending we can make it on our own and that there's no class warfare going on. We're getting picked apart here. Fighting among ourselves for scraps while the ruling class laughs in our face.
Policy wise this means:
Medicare for all
End the wars
New New Deal
Fix our infrastructure
College for everyone
Nobody left behind. Everyone gets cared for and we stop complaining about having to pay for the occasional lazy surfer dude who doesn't work much or at all.
FedEx was about to open a new distribution center in Indiana but they skipped it because they'd increased productivity so much at their existing centers they didn't need it. We've become massively more productive.
Also, anyone else find it telling that the phrase used to describe succeeding without help describes a physically impossible event? It's like a bad joke everybody ran with.
that means the only Windows apps you're going to get are the web based ones that work everywhere and a few Microsoft apps like Office (If they bother doing a native port that isn't even more cut down than the web based office).
if you don't primary your local congress critter then you'll be left deciding between 2 candidates that support the bill and a few crackpots with $500 in campaign funds and less than no hope of winning. Is that fair? No. Is that true? Yes.
the first computer based on it is an HP selling for a grand. It's got a 19 hour battery life, but there are droid tablets in the $500 range that push 16 hours. You'd have to really want battery life to pay that kind of premium.
screwing with it for it's own sake. Hell, he might have already made all his money, decided anything more would be pointless, and did this again, for the hell of it.
stops being fun around 14. You want to start going further, but unless you're in a _very_ wealthy neighborhood or a _very_ bike friendly one then as soon as you're out of your little sub division you're bike lane free. The best part is when there's a lane going out but not coming back because the money ran out.
And you do _not_ ride in a major city without a bike lane. Cars will just plain run you off the road for fun. Nobody in a car likes cyclists.
I'm a roady with thousands of miles under my belt. I know what of I speak.
I've been looking at centrally located houses in my (relatively pricey) city. 1000 square feet starts at $200k, and they're stretching the definition of 1000. Also the neighborhood is kinda crap, which is odd given the crazy cost of the houses. But I suppose if you're spending 1/2 your money on your mortgage there isn't much left for anything else.
With even the slowest modern computer and the internet you can do massive numbers of things. Programming, desktop publishing, video editing and creating are all at your fingertips. Plus thousands of free games (some legal some not so). Then there's the increased access to information. Programming roadblocks I ran into as a kid can be overcome with a quick post to stack overflow.

but thanks for trying to put words in my mouth.

for billionaires to hide their money overseas.
and we'll talk. Also the processor and screen. Until then it's pretty useless.

he might have a leg to stand on here. Still, none of this really matters. The only way to solve this is to kick the bum out that appoints him.
of government who don't believe in government then government doesn't do so well.

because if so, what difference does it make how they're mined? And if not, shouldn't you be able to stop the invalid coins?
MFC for ARM64 is not inflicted upon you
FTFY.
does more activity lead to less mental problems or do less mental problems lead to more activity? I'm not even sure how you could control for that.
