I've canceled my cable, and I don't think I'll go back. It's me, my 3 kids, and my wife. They have all adjusted to streaming from Netflix and Hulu. About the only downside is missing out on life sporting events. I'm contemplating just adding a tuner card to my HTPC, and then getting those over the air.
Overall I'm very happy with the new setup though, it is saving me about $100/month (canceled phone as well) and we still watch the same shows. Of course YMMV.
I actually kind of like seeing the old school 4 disk CDROM cases sitting there on my shelf. It's one of the things i enjoy..i know...kinda sad really...but it's nice to have them all.:)
I actually poped FF7 in the PS/2 last night, and it was still as fun as I remeber it being...that's probably why I have 4 copies of it...the disks keep going bad on me.:)
the RIAA has already filed suit...we'll here about it next week...why should we as consumers be allowed to purchase content, and the listen to it on the device we already paid for...that would...i don't know...make sense?
We have 3 developers that are currently legally blind, and they all have a special wrist-rest that has braile on it as well as a screen scraper (Jaws with the XP Narrator) and this seems to work for them...one catch, your video card must work with Jaws, alot of them don't...as for the keyboard, there are always little marks on f and j, teach him to find the rest of the keys from there. If that doesn't work, i have seen a few braille keyboards out there, but not sure where to get them... Feel free to email me to discuss this more - liqiud@havenbbs.com

I sure hope so...this drives me nuts on not only my pc speakers, but the sub for my home entertainment system too.
