just convert a snes controller for the computer, and your set with the best gaming setup possible (if it's just for snes roms you don't need half a gig of ram your main concern is space considering the power the snes had)
here is australia: playstation 2 is currently $399 gamecube is set for $399 on release so really at this price it is only the equal of the other consoles (guess there are some advantages of living in australia)
if native games to linux were easily avalibe i should image they would sell since a lot of people like the idea of linux but dedicate their computers to games (mostly beceause they think it will make them an 3l33t h4x0r but it would get more linux support) so despite them not being open source these are people who are used to using windows.
