Recurring billing is like monthly bills and if they have the credit card number they don't have to bother you with asking each month. (Not to mention the possible insecurity of having to transmit it to them)

All they need to do is put a filter that supresses signals at the frequencies of basic cable, but lets cable modem frequencies through outside your house.

The article poster was giving the impression that there should be nothing to worry about.
Somehow the pixel density of the human eye just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the article.
Unsustainable by definition means it will stop on it's own, so why does it need to be combatted.
