  1. Cry me a river. I'm sorry your role in doing whatever it is you do is so hard on you. We don't reward people based on how hard whatever it is they do is for them. The intellectual property worshipers like to trot out that notion, but that's not how it works at least most of the time. There's no way of measuring how much of your effort actually goes into a work. Two people can come up with the same thing and one person worked a lot at it than the other. We currently reward who is first. I don't like the whole intellectual property model. If you can get me something and pitch me something, I can be willing to pay for it up front. The whole idea that a person can hold the world hostage on a topic, no matter how narrow is an affront to well being.

  16. I have no ethical issues with the way the copyright system is set up. Until we sit down and talk about forming some ethical underpinnings as to if copyright makes sense and if so for how long, I take the position that it is a government law infringing on the normal operation of culture and free speech. The original intent of the earliest forms of copyright was to censor and I can only assume that is its primary effect today.

I am not led by emotions. I let my emotions inform my decision making. You decry how Trump goes for the cheap emotional ploy, yet seem blissfully unaware of how American politics has been played to an emotional full orchestra since at least the Federalist Papers. Now there's some cheap emotional ploys I tell you. There's never been a moment when hearing the politicians go on that it hasn't been about playing on people's emotions. The only thing different about Trump is that he is more blunt about it and stands out. Name one thing a politician has said that wasn't about the feels.
