It's great that this is finally going into effect and all, however, 90% of the telemarketing calls I receive are prerecorded politicians trying to get me to vote for them..
Something needs to be done to stop that nonsense.. I don't need to hear about how you plan to fix California's debt when i'm trying to eat KFC and watch Joe Millionaire damnit!@!
I don't see what the big deal is.. If it's going to help us keep track of who is in touch with terrorists or other crime lords, then so be it, it'll make me feel safer. I don't imagine the FBI will abuse this because i'm sure the telco's will step in and say something if they are randomly listening to calls of people calling phonesex lines or whatever. I just wish people would stop bitching about every little thing that happens in life, just let it go, it's not like they are actually invading our privacy, and if you are that concerned, then stop calling your terrorist friends..
that would probably be more of a painful death than any blackhole in outerspace.. so yes, i vote for the goatse.cx guy.. i didn't realize anyone else really knew about that site besides the guy who set it up and a few others of us.. good to know the internet is put to good use..
any black hole.. shouldn't really matter which one.. same thing is probably going to happen to them no matter which black hole they are shot towards.. =)
I think they shouldn't be allowed to patent pop-under ads... in fact, people who utilize pop-up or pop-under ads should be put in an enormous sling shot and slung towards the black hole..
I had my wallet with my life in it stolen about 7 months ago.. my health insurance company is brilliant enough to assign us ID's that are our social security numbers.. I was so paranoid about identity theft, but after talking to a lot of people, I found it's very easy to make it much more difficult for someone to steal your identity. The best thing to do is call all the major credit beareaus, such as Experian, Equifax and there are a few others, and tell them to "red flag" your account. When you "red flag" your account, then any place opening a new account that effects your credit will have to speak personally with you and verify that your account is flagged for whatever reason you specified when you flagged the account. Since I did this, I have received 3 phone calls from major credit card companies asking me to verify my recent credit card application.
I don't think this will totally protect you, but it will definatley make it much harder for someone to steal your life.
As long as they don't have any reports of accidents with people and their pants down, everythings cool. And when they do start to get those accident reports, i'll begin working on a "hands-free" version for the cell phone..;)

If Kazaa wins the lawsuit against the RIAA, will that dismiss the 260+ lawsuits the RIAA brought up against Kazaa users?
