One of the cool things with this is that you could set it so that it actually starts SSH or the FTP daemon or whatever as well as open up the firewall on the appropriate port and shut it down again after.
Saves mem usage as well as being that teensy bit more secure!
Also in answer to post further up - WinXP's firewall can log dropped packets to a text file.

To put this in context however - a new C64 system orginally cost around $600 in 1982.
Thats roughly the equivelant of $1100 in todays money.
And then had to switch back when it all went horribly wrong...
Wasn't that surprising?
If it's going to take two employees six months to type this data into the PC's isn't that going to cost more than to buy a new mainframe?
Or do they employ monkeys?
