No one ever said it would be unremovable, and if it was, they sure as hell wouldn't be offering a battery replacement for $180 (Can we say replacement MLB or whole unit swap?).
Besides, how many people who are complaining both:
a) own/would ideally own a 17-inch MacbookPro
and
b) swap between working batteries in said computer?
The answer is few if any. Don't hate on Apple for doing something different, just because it's different, or it's not what a small portion of the public wants in that product.
While I know that going to the movies is ungodly expensive some places, it's only $6 for a ticket to a regular showing where I am (student price, normal is $7.50), but that doesn't factor in the price of pop and popcorn, which are ungodly expensive. Many times I'll go to the movies after I've eaten dinner and just buy a pop, ending up with a total cost of about $10 per showing.
We got $10 Gift Certificates from our local Chamber of Commerce. But, as I'm a co-op, this doesn't bother me too much. (Except for the fact that my job is one of the most stressfull in my organization, exceded only by the 'real' employees in my department. What department is this you ask? Why, Tech Support of course.
