  1. Re:Financial Applications aren't fun to write on When Will OSS Financial Apps Catch Up? · · Score: 0

In addition, financial applications are most sensitive to localization. I mean, financial stuff varies wildly from country to country, and just changing currency symbols is not enough. You need not only FOSS programmers for each country, but FOSS financial-savvy programmers for each countries. How many of them are there? Say, in portugal?

  3. Good thing, though... on Moving To Linux · · Score: 0

This really is a good thing, especially because it takes Linux to the English (and French) mainstream market; coupled with the release of pre-installed Linux laptops and desktops thins can really help the consuper market take off. In time, this should level out the rough edges - and Kernel panic is IMHO not one of them.

  6. GPL Anyone? on 386 Based Linux Powered Telephone · · Score: 1

Yes, this site is in Italian. But the lazyness of the webmaster is not what concerns me. There are NO references on licences, GPL or whatever. Only a cryptic reference like "Users that acquired touchphone in December are allowed a free update". I don't know what it means, but does not compute well. Any lawyer around? It's still cure, BTW, PIffy
