I don't care what is it going to be moderate to, but after a couple of beers, I just had to say "WOW!"!!! Nice gift we got there!!!!

That's the one I use! But, if the adress is worth watching for a few hours or a few days, then "www.jetable.org" is the place to go. They create a dummy adress linked to your real adress for the lengh of time specified, then it's gone!

I posted the initial question and though that, if anyone would still be reading this thread, that it would be insightfull to have a follow up.

I tried the deep freezing method (put the HD in a static free bag, and then inside a ziplock bag) and up it went into the freezer for a day and a half. Didn't work. Tried banging it while it was cold, didn't work. Tried the airdryer bit, didn't work. Tried opening it while inside a brand new trash bag and spun the platter, didn't work. Tried cursing at it, didn't work either! ;)

The only thing I haven't be able to test was swapping the electronics because I couldn't find a suitable donor drive. looked on eBay, googled to no avail. If anyone knows where I can find a Quantum Fireball Plus AS 30GB (QMP30000as-a) for a low price tag, I'd try it and post another follow up.

Maybe Mr Mitnick is sick of the Justice system and doesn't want to spend another day near a court? Maybe he lost faith in a system that landed him in jail wrongly?

I see a lot of people complaining that they wouldn't trust KM or any other "hacker" as security consultant. Come on! These guys were on the terrain, they know how to work it, they know how to work against it!

Just go to Vegas and see how many former card sharks now are security consultant for the very casinos they made money from.

  7. Your ST books on Ask William Shatner · · Score: 1
    Hi!

You seem to have accepted the fact that your name will always stick to the ST serie as long as you live (and behond).

Altough you have made some post-trek achievements where we forget about Kirk (one comes to mind: 3rd rock), you still are active in the Trek world. The books you publish are really good and I think most of them could be turned into good tv/movie production.

My question about those books is, are you doing them because you feel you still have something to say about the show or, in particular about the Kirk character (which you brough back from the dead) or are you simply riding the wave that puts bread and butter on the table at the end of the day? (it's okay if that's the case, because the end result for us is still the same, good books, well written, from someone who played a major role in building the St universe)

Cheers from Montreal! Thanks for the good time

  8. A good show without politics! on Ask 'Junkyard Wars Diva' Cathy Rogers · · Score: 1

I just wanted to say it is refreshing to see that there are still some good shows being produced out there! I'm tired to see good ideas being turned into theatrical production (think some island show on fox network...) where the basic idea is sound (put some people on a desert island and see how they fare) but noooo! You have to have them bitch one against the other, make them plan agaisnt each other... I dislike that kind of tv. On your show, you have to work togheter, and we even saw some shows where the contestants helped each other out! And I can say now that I know more about how my car works than before, so I actually learned something from your show while being intertained! And I want to thank you for this! I wish you the best of luck with your current show and all future plans you will endeavour. As for asking a question, and related to this post, did you submit other kind of shows focusing on learning through amical challenges like JW? Do you plan on submiting any? If so, would they still focus on cars and engines, or would you change the subject? Cheers from Qc, Canada!
