I actually wrote an article called The Art of Good Passwords. It explains the importance of decent passwords, how to enforce them, and how to enforce them in your web app. I submitted it to slashdot earlier this morning, but it's still in the firehose. if you read it and got something out of it, let me know, or bump it up in the firehose. Or tell me if it stunk.:)
Later on this year, Car owners will have the option to convert their older "Non Intelligent" vehicles into EV / Hybrids. The company is called Alternate Propulsion and the site can be seen here
I don't think ICE ( internal combustion Engine) intelligence is the answer. You either have to change human habits ( anyone who lives in New York City knows what I'm talking about), or build a car that is automatically intelligent, like when to shut off an engine, or when to use less gas in stop-and-go traffic. Hybrids already do this.
This company, http://www.alternatepropulsion.com/ looks promising to help change all of this. They claim to convert your old car to a hybrid, Plug-in, blah blah next year. That would be interesting . ..
Also, I guess if the auto companies rate a full electric car, the MPG rating would be zero, since they don't take that into consideration.
$1500 is a steep price to pay for/. publicity. Who is to say it's not vapor ware? I could have put a picture of my hand holding a polished tube and claimed the same thing and got the same amount of/. traffic.
It will not be MS that will make it the de-facto standard, but the people that code websites. Most commercial websites "code for IE" only and therefore force it's customer base to have IE wether they want it or not. The only workaround is to not use that company's service. But then again the people that actually use these services may not have a say as to which services they use because these services are mandated by the companies they work for.
Browser statistics make a HUGE impact on web development. The majority of upper management in corporations believe that customers only use IE and then mandate that developers only focus on developing for IE. Hence the vicious cycle. Only when they feel that their own customer base is threatened, will they budge.
Example: http://www.advisen.com/
This is a IE only site because the CEO believes that IE is the only browser used by businesses.
When can we blame Bush's war in Iraq on Call of Duty or SOCOM?
Not Call of Duty. That one is actually retroactively blamed for WWII.
They could probably blame CounterStrike for Iraq.
You can get his helmet-mounted Satellite dish, and replace the dish with the camera.
Any Volunteers?

Really..... Only 9 positions?
The "one other state" Happens to be New York.
I would say after the first 0C:88:65:36:5C:65:14:8D:B5:3E:47:D9:20:11:9F:90 times it was worth a chuckle.
You forgot:
"You are violating the DMCA by not watching the ads."
By closing my eyes I am circumventing the ad delivery mechanism.

Hopefully this will change soon.
This is standard procedure for them. It's been that way for years.
There ARE no bugfixes. That doesn't make them any money.

Another site looks like they are doing this for even older machines to build Linux routers and firewalls for those who have broadband. Not a bad idea.
