It amazes me the amount of "Free software" users that use Mac OSX. I dont think they are about Free Software or they wouldnt be running it. Its about "Not Windows" for those people, it just happens to run some free software.
Mac OS X is propriatary.
For those of us who do want to run Linux on their ppc, there is yellowdog (covered in article above) or Fedora for ppc.
Colin Charles has covered the install process at http://www.bytebot.net/geekdocs/ibook/fedorappc.ht ml
And the release announcement: http://www.bytebot.net/geekdocs/ibook/fc3.relnotes
and the.iso files are downloadable from:
http://fedoraproject.org/fedorappc/FC-3/
Its not perfect yet, but it is getting very close.
I remember reading about encryption standards, and how AES (I think it was AES) created random noise in the cpu to protect against this kind of attack.
I cant find any sources backing me up, as I cant even remember where I had read this information.
If anyone has information on this, I am sure others are interested also.

The Australian Federal police, do more wiretaps than the American three letter abbreivated law divisions, yet this hasnt become an issue yet.
Technology is slightly slower to take up than other countries, but it is getting there. The AFP have almost limiteless resources and It would be interesting to see their take on this situation. Hell they might already be doing it for all I know.

The aria news site states:
---
Internet file-sharing and CD burning have now been confirmed as having a negative impact on the Australian sales of recorded music, according to a ground-breaking study released today by the Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA).
---
That was August 2002 - July 2003. Moving on further down the same news posting....
---
"More than 80 % of people who received burnt CDs say that they would 'rarely' or 'never' buy a copy of a burnt CD they had received. More than 50 % of file sharers tend not to buy music they have downloaded (ie. 'rarely' or 'never' buy)."

No, I know I wouldnt "Pay" for a burnt CD.. I'd pay for the original item.. but never for "burnt CD".
