What the heck are you talking about? Using daemon tools on windows to mount linux isos? Are you out of your mind?

Most distros if not all come with the iso filesystem built in into the kernel.

You can mount an iso with plain old mount!

man mount is in the order... Read it! Stop doing such an atrocity

You said: "Any method of storing data electronically is a database"

Actually, that's a file manager. Access and FoxPro are file managers. Being able to throw data at a file is NOT a database.

Databases are a little smarter, allow you to have transactions (yes, all databases are supposed to do that by definition...) concurrent data, integrity, etc..

Oh, come on, the technology is already there. There was this thing called zen technology which splitted the laser in 7 beams to be able to read 7 times as ordinary drives so you would not have to speed the rpm on the drive.

Results? 72x TRUE speed, not max, and a very quiet hard drive.

Why they went out of the market? Beats me, i had one (got fried together with a mouse because of a lightning) and i installed half life in few minutes.

It's not the world's fault that the U.S.A has such a conflictive name. The fact is that the whole world does not use a simple scheme for naming continents, and i think the U.S.A does not get a call in this considering that most of them think everything outside their country is farm land, with poor geography knowledge. Most other countries aren't so self centered and knows a little more about our planet.

I remembered when i was learning english, that europe and asia are considered a whole continent in the u.s, and they separate america in 2, sometimes 3 continents (central america).

Americans!=U.S.A people. The world knows you call yourselves americans, wrongly doing so. Unfortunately, i dont know a better term to call u.s people (in spanish we have the term estado-unidense which correctly refers to and only to the u.s.a)

Some countries have a "united states" as part of their name but only used for legal documents or so.

The problem started when the u.s.a used actively the u.s as part of their name (always?), so they had to call themselves americans.

I dont know if the world "anglosajon" better describes a u.s person, but it's commonly used in spanish

And to think my small country (Venezuela, which didn't even get to the world cup) , we all got to see ALL the games LIVE, because the biggest national channel paid the rights. When the U.S people care more about football (REAL football, there is no foot in american football except the punts), they will go further in a world cup. Actually, i was rooting for them in the us-germany game (there was a hand not called!)
