I love gaim on linux, but file send/receive is too important for me, and since i use msn most of the time, i have switched for alvaro's msn, while lacking every cool feature that gaim has, you get file send/receive.

After doing so, no OS could boot after doing a reboot. I had to turn off the pc in order to choose another OS.

Weird huh? I had to reset the bios in order to fix it.

Also, winxp install would BSOD'd out on my new gf4, so i had to pop in the older gf1. Problem is, after first reboot i had to continue the install with the gf4 to avoid another set of hangups.

To keep on topic, my asus a7v333 increased from 9800 to 10800 on 3dmark by just choosing turbo in the ddr settings in the bios.

Being in venezuela, i can say we have about 3 million computers. Brand name machines are mostly popular on servers, a normal guy goes to the local store and asks for a machine, and it gets built. They put windows on it, mostly for "free". The price of the machine goes up 200$ if it has a legit windows on it. I would say 97% of the country uses windows. So you still think ms wont be hurt? Actually, little if you count all the ms software used ilegally

You know how much office costs here in venezuela? 700.000 bolivares (500$) You know how much does it cost on the street? 5000 bolivares (3$) The main reason we dont use free software, is because most of the country sell pirate copies of software. But perhaps MS is checking now goverment computers, and so a need of use of free software is born

To people that have a connection at home, use your isp email! To people that want an email to subscribe to stuff and keep your main address with less spam, then you may use a hotmail or similar address. 24. Re:My Letter to the Editor of Mercury News on Politicians Seek Spam Loophole · · Score: 0
They utterly failed to realize that e-mail costs the recipient of the e-mail message time and money. Be it the 3 seconds wasted downloading the message from their mail server, or the cost of the phone call for the internet access, or the usage of total monthly bandwidth that some ISP's allot to users, e-mail costs the receiving party money. This is the very heart of the problem with ANY unsolicited e-mail. Television, radio, and print ads all do not cost the recipient of the advertisement money.
You could not be more wrong. If you are going to count the cost of receiving the mail, you should also count the cost of your electric bill to turn on the tv, and also if it's a paid cable channel, the cost of the subscription. Ads are free, period. Because they use your existing paid services to deliver them.
