When was the most recent high end model any computer manufacturer has made _not_ the fastest and greatest?
I like to read three year old (or even older) computer magazines and see how blazingly fast the computer we consider old today was seen as at that time.
I bet we will never see a pulitzer prize winner from the computer press!
This question is just plain boring (= very unslashdottish). It has been asked a million times before. Why don't you buy a copy of MacWorld (or similar) to see what they recommend in your situation; spare some space on Slashdot for _interesting_ stuff please.
If the Sout-Korean government subsidizes any product exported to USA or EU, so what? The only people that should be annoyed with that are the southkoreans, the pay taxmoney they don't get any return on.
It is _good_ for the US or EU economies if US or EU consumers can buy cheaper stuff, since they then can consume more, e.g., domesctic produced services (typically restaurants).
Btw, GWB called american steelworkers the best steelworkers in the world, but yet they can't compete...
Use Framemaker rather than Word. Still a Classic app, but everything else with it rules over Word. You save your documents as pdf with all bookmars etc included.
The problem is probably not the content of the calender but rather the clear text transfer of the password.
This lack of security consciouness is very annoying, I can't use e.g., Dreamweaver's or BBEdit's built in WebDAV-/ftp-clients due to their clear text password transfer. Why can't Dreamweaver etc simply use the command line sftp-client?
What happened to iCal 1.5.0?

Any opinions/qualified guesses about when the powerbooks will be upgraded to G5?

Why take the extra step with printing to a ps-file when you can use the (nowadays working!) built in pdf features in Framemaker?

13. Since everyone installs Developer Tools, CpMac is a better suggestion for copying files without destroying the Mac-specific part of the file.
/Developer/Tools/CpMac.
Basically, CpMac just emulates the process that takes place when you use the mouse to copy a file.
Find CpMac in
(there is also a MvMac in the same location)
