You mean like all the people the move to America to get a better life? Why don't we just shut off our borders, after all it will only be helping others to help themselves. There's a problem with people who say running away from societies problems is wrong. Our whole stinking country was founded on that pricpal. But it just so happens theres really no new places to run away to, but space.
Heres an idea for ya. Why don't we make our laws like we do our software. Somebody can setup some kind of CVS of laws and people can submit whole new laws or patches to laws. Hell we could even open up a new branch of sourceforge to host the whole thing.
It seems that anymore, every other story is on/. is about how America is developing some new way of spying on its own citizens. Does this not scare anyone else but me? I'm paranoid as it is already, but reading all this stuff makes me that much more paranoid.
To make all of this free music available, we could setup a sort of website "repository" that will host this "open" music. We could register mp3.com and, oh, wait...
I've got a crappy idea that hopefully would catch on. After everyone gets some sort of PVR, be it TIVO, or ReplayTV, or whatever. The advertisers make really good commercials. Ones that I would laugh at and enjoy. Then let me burn and copy these commercials to whomever I want. Increasing the amount of exposure the commercials reach. Eventually our p2p networks will be filled with so many commercials that we won't know what is a commercial and what's a real show. Confusion and profit for all!!!
Since everyone knows the most common passwords are god and love. Does this breakthrough mean that 'ladepujd' will become one of the next most common ones as well.

I was born on RedHat. Raised on Mandrake. But Debian made me the man I am today.
