I'm fairly certain I've seen translations of the Iranian "leaders" saying they want to eliminate all Jews. Translations of what is digested by the Iranians and not what is generally published in "Western" media.
The Iranians only tried getting nuclear weapons in the past years? Before 9/11? It's my understanding they have been trying to get them for quite some time. It's also my impression they've talked about committing genocide on the Jews for some time as well.
Decoupled from local currencies. I'm thinking that the amount of points to buy game Y is always the same no matter where in the world. With the points you can buy them with whatever currency you use and they will be converted into points.
Perhaps the point system makes an easy way to decouple the prices from local currencies and allows parents to give their kids a bunch of points to spend each month. I used to go rent games at the video store when I was a child. Now some of that might be replaced by parents giving their children points to buy games.
No thanks. I'll stick with governments that use human nature for the betterment. Socialism and communism are pratically proven to let the worst aspects of human nature go nuts.
What is wrong with people who are greedy compete to provide the best service to fellow humans at the least cost?
In a real democracy it isn't needed. People organize political parties and those parties change law. If there is a political class then you can't just vote in people with the same view as you and you are left with other choices such as protesting.
Why would you want "maintstream rage"? People running around like gangs and angry mobs generally isn't productive. Good thing they don't seem to be angry mobs and actually have something at least some what planned out. For example the political party they are working on.
Then buy a used graphic card from a friend or a low end graphic card (since that is what you got when you bought a PS2 in 2004) and it will cost a similar amount. Confidential or financial info has nothing to do with a comparison between playing games on a console or PC. Both platforms have DRM for games and you can't avoid that. The graphic card companies would not be in business making as much money as they do if people didn't want their games running faster or new games looking better. New graphic cards do not enable more DRM on the computer in relation to games. The most that is happening is encryption for displays. Old games are not ceasing to run because of DRM. The only problems I have running old games is from a software stand point. If that is a big problem you can always keep around an older computer for older games and leave an old OS on it. This is just the same as keeping around your old NES to play NES games.
A console cycle lasts about four years. When a console comes out they look to be $400 these days. For that much money you can buy two mid range computer graphic cards. One at 0 years and one at the 2 year mark. Since you already have a computer that cost is already sunk.
Complaining about DRM on computers and computers games is quite silly as well. Consoles are locked down with quite a bit more DRM. The reason the industry insists on newer cards is because all the game players want their current games to run better, so they buy better hardware to run it on.
There is plenty of money to be made if those people were healthy and able. If they are healthy and able they will be able to make more money and buy more goods.
3Dfx had themselves in a hot game called Quake. The difference between Quake and GL Quake was/is night and day. 4x the numbers of pixels being displayed, the overall picture being rendered was of higher quality, and the entire game ran faster. So far the closest thing to GL Quake for Aegia is Cell Factor. The big difference between Cell Factor and GL Quake is Cell Factor has a chicken and egg problem. The PPU is needed to run Cell Factor AFAIK. Quake ran and ran fairly well without a Voodoo chipset based card.
If everything is pooled and one giant project is undertaken there is a good chance many interesting and novel solutions to supersonice transportation might not be discovered. Many different projects almost guarentees a couple of good and different solutions. Each solution will have it pro's and con's. Be better for one thing and slightly worse for something else. Competition is good.
In the Gulf War(s) the weapons that used depleted uranium were the sabot rounds from the M1A1/2 tanks. What bombs do you know of that use depleted uranium? How radioactive are those bombs? How radioactive were the sabot rounds?
It's amazing how many people have lost sight of this. Many comments in the post have been swipes at the US, but like you said BlackBerry's are made by RIM; a Canadian corporation.
Whats wrong with sand castles? :)

I thought the main reason they used chips was as an anti-theft/security measure.

Terrible idea. Then you make it so only wealthier people can afford it.
I haven't seen any mention that the US government took down TPB.
I did not mention freedom, only change.

I don't think people are seeing at as a victory. I believe people are seeing at as a sign of TPB's will to continune on.

At work I use Outlook everyday as a normal user. No admin rights.
It would be nice if software vendors listed those things. It can take quite a bit of time for something that would be trivial if it was listed.
Works on version 10 as well.
Are you sure on Windows Media Player? I'm able to run it at work without admin rights. I can rip MP3's with it as well.

Where is the US government blocking search results about Iraq that are unfavorable to it?
