Just goes to show how much of cost scam CD are/were. When there is a glut of memory for example, the retail price drops. Now there is a glut of CD production and the cost stays... fixed. I guess their thug business practices are showing. All parts of the cost of production for music have gone down, and the last CD I bought was still the same cost as the CD I bought 5 years ago. Good job, music industry, you've killed your own market with your own greed!
Full Disclosure doesn't apply for workers

When companies must give employees full disclosure on wages of co-workers so they can appropriately value their own work, then transparency will be acheived.
The widest canyon capitalism has is the rules are all one way. Submit salary history with resume? How about submit salary history of potential team members so you can make an informed decision?
I find it interesting that most pro-capitalism libertarians, like the authors are all about access to imformation for the investor and other corporations, but not for the workers.
Oil is a finite resource. Most of the oil is under countries that are known to be either politically unreliable or unstable or down right hostile.
What is your administration going to do to get the US to an electricity based economy before peak oil?
I have been following you since your improbable run at the convention, but this question is one that is on the lips of many people who started with interest but faded from the LP:
The usual LP line is interpreted as: Don't touch my money or my weed, which turns off a lot of moderate voters. Combine that with your semantics stands on ZIP codes people equate the LP with the Loony Party. People see the "Fringe" ideas first and completely loose interest.
The same basic thing happened with the F-111 program in the 60s. The drawing had a piece that was installed upside down, but the technician installing them said, this ALWAYS goes right side up and installed it that way. A couple crashes and the grounding of the whole F-111 fleet later, and the trouble was found. I don't know what happened to the installer, but I can't imagine it was any good.
Check twice, install once:)
Let's see Linus still has financial entanglements with Transmeta? So he's on his high horse say how bad Intel is, but no disclosure that maybe just maybe he might have a financial stake in Intel doing bad (good for Transmeta?)
I'll will don my flame retardant undies for questioning King Lord God Linus. (So often I have found that while the OS is open, the minds that work on it are not)
Besides when was the last time you heard any vendor announce using some else's technology? GM: Now using Mercedes safety features! Real world means sometimes you don't tell everything. Like that fact that you are commenting about a competitor to your stock options, but not saying you might be biased./Awaits my first -Troll mod
As a long time Paranoia player (I love Randy the wonder lizard), is there going to be a beta testing program? Where can I sign up?
And are the modules going to be updated as well?
What mods to the tech trees are you going to add considering "pre-whoops!" developments like the Internet?
Go ahead call me a troll, mod me into next week, but the technologies needed to go to Mars are the same as needed to survive on the earth without oil. The attacks on Iraq was the first move, and now he's moving to get the technologies ready for when the oil to run out in 2010-2020. Remember kids, its not _IF_ the oil is going to run out, its when. With China and India getting fully addicted to the black gold, its going to go fast.
I would guess that 2010 is probably the start of the "crash" curve and 2020 is the expected bottom.
Just google on Peak Oil if you want to educate yourself and not sleep for week or two.
This has been a topic of much discussion among my friends and I, and here is my list of why the reason ST has become a laughing stock.
1. The ship is one of the characters in the ST universe. When the new 'Big E' was just put up on the screen, no nothing, it severed a lot of the emotional ties us long time fans had to the ship.
2. Time Travel as the Dues Ex Machina ending. It was over done in the series and the Wayback machine endings just smack of poor writing, and fan's won't put it up with it.
3. ST used to pay attention to basic military protocols. Picard should have been tried twice for his efforts in the movies so far.
4. Stories. The movies 2,3,4 all referenced each other and actually had a feeling of continuity. The ST:TNG movies could have happened in any order, and don't have any flow. Episodic versus Epic as my good buddy The Illuhminator would say.
I got more, but Berman will never listen and never change. I didn't see Nemesis in the theater and I quit watching Enterprise.
Trek is dead, and I have only the ST:TNG re-runs to remind me of the good old days(tm).
I suggest everyone in the US to go to their congressional representative and provide input like I did.. This is cut straight from my post to my Rep (David Wu, 1st CD OR)
To the Honorable Mr. Wu, As a long time supporter of yours, I look forward to voting for you again this November. It's always a pleasure voting for a man of your integrity and character. I would like to address a bill recently put forward by a few of your colleagues, Howard Berman, D-Calif., and Howard Coble, R-N.C. The bill they are sponsoring is nothing short of legalizing vigilante justice. The MPAA and RIAA are asking that they be allowed to perform what would otherwise be federal and state criminal acts and civil torts, and everybody will have essentially no remedy against them under any laws of the United States. These oligopolies are attacking their own customers, and treating everyone as guilty without trial or recourse. CDs are no cheaper than when they were introduced, and there is only one movie chain in the county. They are bordering on illegal monopolies now and giving them more power will make us all victims. The gangster tactics of these organizations must be stopped. Please be a voice for reason on behalf of your constituents and take every opportunity to defeat this bill. This bill must not be allowed to become law. I appreciate your time, and good luck on your re-election this November. Thanks

How do you hope to fight the usual LP labels?
