I bawled my eyes out as Yuna fell through Tidus's fading body at the end of FFX. I have never been so moved by a game's story and music than I have at that very moment. I kept sobbing as the summoned spirits disappeared, one by one. It was a brilliant ending...
I have literally grown up with these games, and for those of you who think its going downhill, I have to tell you, you're just plain wrong. If XI sucks, then I have every bit of faith that Square-Enix will pick up the slack with XII. You can't possibly combine the most creative minds two of the world's leaders in video RPG's and not come up with a great product.
Huh? Does Verizon carry anything besides your cellphone bill? (BTW I just kicked those SOB's for Cingular) What business is it of hers who your other phone services are or aren't with?
While you were busy picking apart the words this gentleman used in an attempt to just have something to say, I believe you failed to realize that Star Wars is a trilogy... and now a set of trilogies. Regardless of whether you call the movies prequels, sequels, whatever... they are intended to coalesce as one artistic work. Hopefully Episode 3 will lead us into darker themes and times, which would be fitting, if it keeps to SW lore.
This entire argument is founded on absolute bullshit in the first place. They're movies for Christ's sake. They're intended to be watched and enjoyed, not waved around against one another like some fifth grade pissing contest. They made someone a hell of a lot of money... like most forms of mass entertainment. Let it go.
If you thought Spidey made a better movie, go see it again, buy the freaking DVD when it comes out. If you like Star Wars and want to see more, they're on the way. Sheeshus...
