Any company that has such an oppressive corporate climate that they monitor what their employees write in blogs is probably going to have someone go postal. That kind of environment breeds the kinds fear and paranoia that can make someone snap.
Most libel and defamation suits are just slapp suits. Business robber barons have used them to silence critics since the printing press, and libel laws were invented. Patently bogus claims of libel and defamation usually work, as the little guy doesn't have the resources to hire a lawyer, and defend himself in court. It's a terrible shame, and I wish could be done to stop slapp suits.
No one ever said Murdoch was stupid. If he was, he would have helped W. Gore would have been good for his business. Fax news would have savaged him every day, and the same people who eat up talk radio would love it.
EA the next Disney? Does Michael Eisner know about this? Will they constantly take from the public domain, without ever giving back to it like Disney does?
Yes, you look stupid. Maybe this link will humiliate you enough to stop trying to second post. Even if you pull it off, it just makes you Number 2.
By the way, I think Hitachi is making a universal DVD burner. It at least does DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW. I am not sure about DVD-Ram. See that mods!!! I'm NOT off topic!
How small of a company is it, and are you hiring? You took a pay cut yourself, instead of firing workers, and giving yourself a bonus for "having the courage to make tough decisions." I would proudly work for a company like yours.
A bobblehead of the boss! Has anyone submitted this to pud@fuckedcompany.com? The poster should, and should name the company and CEO. I am surprised nobody has gone postal over such an insult. I wonder if that bobblehead would still look cute shoved sideways up the boss's ass? Does anyone know the name of the company who did this?
If the big labels don't want us making perfect digital copies of their music, and trading them, release it all on vinyl. Digitizing records, and burning them onto CD-R, maintaining sepearate track s is a lot of work! If I could actually get vinyl, which I like the sound of much better than digital, I would have yet another reason not to buy CDs.
Perhps you mean the second amendment. "A well regulated militia being a necessity in a free society, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be abridged."
If the meaning ofd this were not so murky, that alone would be something. Does "Well regulated Militia" mean the army, the national guard? or everyone able bodied? and does "the people" mean all the people, or just the ones in the militia?
Do you propose that if we passed a new law, that criminals who are by definition, people who break the law, will respect it? That would be a magic law. Too bad there's no such thing.
The unbiased analysis you seek is just not humanly possible. Everyone has an opinion on the right to bear arms vs. gun control debate, and anyone willo become emotional defending his or her position. Here are some of my thoughts. Outlawing guns won't disarm criminals. They are criminals, and won't respect new laws any more than the ones we have now. Outlawing guns will only raise their price on the black market. Anything demanded will be supplied. That is basic economics. Even if we could create a state where only the army is armed, do we really want to?
Yes, some Democrats are dancing to the tune that doners play, too, but Republicans outspent Democrats by 200 milion in November, 200 million big business donated to them, and not the dems. The few who actually voted did what TV and talk radio told them. Republicans are the party of big business and big greed to a much greater degree than Democrats, but they all get away with it because people don't vote. Campaign finance reform and free speech are unrelated. If there are no limits to donations, because donations are "speech," then the rich, and corporations can "say" infinitely more than I can. So much for all being equal under the law. So much for one person, one vote. Or are some animals more equal than others?
By the way, do you let talk radio spoon feed your political views to you. Your rant sounds like Rush Limbaugh, or possibly convicted felon, G. Gordon Liddy.
Not a damn thing, since so few of us even vote. The few who bothered to vote in november elected the buddies of legalized bribery by a landslide. Mitch McConell,(R, KY) legalized bribery's best friend in Washington won by a nearly 70 to 30 margin. We have an oligarchy, not a democracy, because people stay home.
The three wise men are Moe, Larry, and Curly. Whoop whoop whoop! Nyuk nyuk nyuk.
... The magic voodoo box room.
I'll give that a 4 out of 10 on the troll-o-meter. It will piss a few people off, but not many.

That is management's attitude. Any chimp can do what we do. We need a union.

Amen to that! Read more about it at Dontbuycds.org The recording labels are the real pirates.
If these things have circling lights around them, they will cause hundreds of UFO sightings. That would be cool!
All your science are belong to us.

You're still wrong. It's Yo, Man!
Instead of just pulling the plug on OS/2, why not opensource it for the people who still find it useful?
What's with that picture of Zippy the Pinhead to the left of that article.

Guns are old technology that everyone understands. Elcomsoft's software is a new one that people think is somehow magic. Magic new things are scary.

No, it's here in the US where television watches YOU, if you have a V-chip.
Yeah, Gilligan's Planet gave Disney the idea for Treasure Planet. Those are some serious rip-off artists at Disney, like Michael Eisner.
