I always took the representation clause to be in the form of voting power. Which is why Puerto Rico doesn't pay federal taxes (but have not federal vote). Unfortunately I don't think it's that cut and dry. While the constitution may state that, it's open to interpretation. Taking Puerto Rico's example resident aliens in the US shouldn't have to pay federal or state taxes as well, however their income is completely taxable by federal and I believe state standards.

I've been in an elevator that has fallen 2 to 3 stories. Not fatal, but very very scary when it happens. I believe elevators will never fall farther than that, but I still prefer they don't fall at all. P.S. It still scares the bejezzus out of me everytime an elevator doesn't work correctly (slips or lunges)

Even better, my girlfriend once sent me an IM saying that we were out of ink in our printer. I asked her what color. Her reply, "The white one". It was a very good thing we were on IM, if we were on the phone I probably would have been single shortly there after (the laughted harder than I have in a long time). For those who can't figure it out, the printer driver displayed a picture of all the printer cartriges and displayed the one that was empty. Since it was empty, it was white.

I was walking through the halls of my office on day and my boss stopped me. He had been explaining something to our new tech. He asked me to explain how anti licing worked. I was ver offened and looked at him blankly and in bewilderment over it. Then it occurred to me he ment antialiasing.

Do you really think a book like the Big Book of Michief which explains how to build bombs and other things that the goverment doesn't want people to make will be available there. I have no doubts that in our "free country" certain books will not be available. You could argue strongly that very few people should have access to detailed instructions on making nerve gas, but I doubt anyone could argue that not providing unlimited access is censorship.

Any one know where you can find a tiny (roughly 12x12x12cm) power supply, kinda sucks when the powersupply takes up most of the room in a project.

You don't need a social security number to pay taxes. One of my friends was illegal here in Texas and was using a made up SSN. The IRS found him and gave him a Tax ID so he could pay taxes. The IRS doesn't care one bit if someone is here illegally or legally, they just want to get paid.

Or a even bigger conspiracy theory. Maybe they put it there. A failing company with declining revenue sees a competing product doing well, it's easy to send suggested code changes to the kernel developers, wait a little while. Then sue.
