I can understand inflated prices on aircraft parts. I can understand inflated prices on boomers. I can understand inflated prices in missile control silos.
However, aside from the fact that the initial post was intended to be humorous, the military spending is still out of control, and full of pork.
From: Price Trends for Defense Logistics Agency's Weapon System (GAO November 2000), which found that between 1997, and 1998, prices of 2,993 different spare parts purchased by the military increased over one thousand percent, and 14 percent of the total spare parts ordered from defense contractors increased at least 50 percent in price in that one year. Contractors have been underbidding the prices, then jacking up the prices upon time for billing. Parts like a bolt, initially quoted at $40, ended up being $1,887, or a self-locking nut, quoted at $2.69, ended up costing $2, 185. These are not nearly the worst examples of cost increases . . . A linear microcircuit, original 1997 price $0.11 cents, cost $5,788.76, thermal insulation that really cost $1, ended up costing $3,390, or the boss nipple, costing $1, cost the US military $1,498.48.
I doubt a corporate browser will ever have the banner blocking beauty of Moz based ones.
I like my web like I like my [Replay]TV, commercial free...
Between the almost zero chance of banner blocking, and the lack of tabs, I'm sticking with something from the Moz family for now.
The two stroke is inherently more efficient than the four stroke.
Additionally, two stroke enines over 50cc were outlawed due to pollution, not efficiency. Great strides have been made in synthetic oil in the last 30 years, and pollution is no longer a factor (assuming a ban on non-synthetic two stroke oils).
My 2 stroke 1974 200cc Vespa pollutes only 38% of a hybrid car (I had it smogged last time I was in this argument), goes 80mph, and gets 65mpg.
You can park 9 motorcycles in the average car space.
Timnes when I wish I had some mod points...
Independent labels have:
Fairer business models
Better artists
Better customer/fan support
Social consciences
Goals other than power and profit
Word of mouth based on quality
Independent labels don't have:
Legal firms in their pockets
Lobbying costs built into every CD
Advertising budgets based on waste to support mediocrity
Gultiy consciences about breaking Mac users drives
and best of all
No Brittney, N'Sync, Nelly, 98 Degrees, etc
Screens are independent.
Popups appear in the middle of the menubar window.
QE is enabled on both displays.
I run a triple headed Dual 867, with 3 1280x1024 panels, and it is a dream come true (2 on a Radeon 9000 AGP, and one on a Radeon 7500 PCI).
The Mac OS has had a great handle on multiheaded operation forever, and these dual display AGP cards are nice!
But you can provide power to those devices already via USB or Firewire.
Hell, if you wanna be innovative you can do it with a 9V battery:

I bet they won't be encased in Titanium or White plastic, and that will turn off some users.
Additionally, the size & weight issue, vs. carrying a spare battery (or even two) makes this somewaht redundant. Unless you need uninterrupted computing, you're better off carrying two spare batteries...
Whooohoooo....
Finally, I can wield the mighty power of the scroll wheel, using it to comabt evil, and cause carpal tunnel the world over!
Now if only Acrobat Reader admitted the existence of the all mighty scroll wheel...
Did anyone else notice he metioned Apple blade servers?
This means one of two things:
He's let an Apple cat out of the bag
He doesn't know the difference between a blade and a 1U server
Either way, this does not lend credibility to his argument.

If the military can pay thousands for a toilet seat, imagine what they paid for a PowerBook.
Readerware does this already, by screen scraping a bunch of book site, and the LOC.
This sounds like the do not call registries which seem always to be postponed to a place just past the horizon?

Since this seemingly insurmountable issue can't be solved by software, have you ever contemplated rewiring the keys? I have a soldering iron...do you?
