Competitive target shooting has specialized weapons. You do not use an AR-15 for a target shooting for practice. What you are practicing is how to kill a human. Ditto with the muzzle loader. Quaint weapon but still the real aim is to kill a human.

One maniac went around with a shotgun shooting people in UK previous year, it's still talked about. It's a daily occurrence in USA, not even worth time on local news.

In real life aiming a small target like a head is much harder than aiming a gun in a game. Get real. All police enforcement are taught to shoot the biggest target, the body, you have a much better chance of hitting, regardless of the armour.
Which one is more efficient and cheaper? Which one will save more lives? Paying one or two guards who can't be everywhere and will always do nothing but call the police or actually taking the guns out of people's hands and making the place safer for everyone?

I used to run the BBS with the worst hardware in my town, 1200 baud modem on an XT (pre-Linux times). 386dx40 and Linux were a fresh breeze.

The Police cameras never record anything that shows the Police doing something wrong since they have an automagical bit, the camera automagically breaks down just before the Police smashes the brains out of someone. Or the tape disappears. Or the camera would be looking to the wrong place. Or the policeman himself would have had turned it off himself accidentally by tripping the off button as he was getting out of the car... Never...
Reminds me of the Skoda 120L my mum used to have way back when. The easiest car to drive. Rear-drive and the engine at the back. Doing acrobatics (and boiling the coolant) was sooo easy and so much fun! I think 15 year old me learning to drive with it had a lot to do with that car's short life. No power steering was necessary and the heating was way better than any other car we had, even better than my dad's Merc. In winter he used to take the Skoda for the long & cold trips and leave the Merc behind.
