On the subject: I disapprove of the lack of labeling requirements. As a health care professional, I view that as unethical.
I also agree with an earlier post, that this will make food and meat processing businesses sloppier and lax about safety, probably more than they already are.

I mean, where are the Rudy Rucker type robots? Anything even close to AI? It's all failure. All the theory, all the work, and we can't even build a fucking BUG! I know the whole thing contains some of the hardest problems in science, but shit, where is ANY PROGRESS?
Should we be trying build positronic brains or something?
I'm 44. I graduated in 2001 with a C.S. degree. It was my first actual full application of my efforts in college. Cum GPA : 3.96. I had one "B", in COBOL 101. I was spending too much time playing "Ultima Online".:) Before that, I was a Medical Lab Tech. I found that I could make $50,000 a year doing that again, or start at $30,000 in an IT job. Well, I couldn't take that pay cut. Once my son is out of college, I can maybe go back to IT. The one guy has it right: the only "too old" is DEAD. Do what you LOVE, within limits.
Look, they have no choice. They don't have instant testing available to even TRY to screen for explosives/ingredients in that stuff. Their only option is to throw it ALL out. The types of explosives they are saying the terrorists planned to use are BINARY/TRINARY: two or three ingredients that when combined form an explosive or flammable mixture.
By themselves, they are stable. I have flown many times and I KNOW it could be done. I also have several years of chemistry education. They are fucking FREAKING OUT right now. So they are over-reacting. That's normal in this kind of situation. It will take time to train the security people to look for the things they need to spot.
I would have bought one. I had the money. But I am not such an IDIOT as to wait in line for 8 hours to spend $400. This truly proves that MicroSoft is a company built on luck and monopoly.
My jaw dropped as I saw a fat, stupid manager at WalMart actually be AMUSED that he turned away dozens of people willing to spend $400 EACH on a product from his store.
So now I am so pissed off, I will not buy a 360 until the price goes down. Good job, Bill!!!!!!!!
If I remember correctly, in T2, the arm that the T-1000 shoved into the gears of that machine and then got ripped off the T-800 was still there.
The investigative teams sent into the crime scene afterward would have discovered it.
